We, the signatories of this petition strongly feel that the safety of the citizens of Ward 5 is at risk due to the inordinate number of traffic violations pertaining to the three-way stops along Pinedale Avenue from Appleby Line to New Street and the excessive speed of motorists using this artery. Our elementary and secondary students as well as the many senior citizens in this geographic area use this artery to travel to and from school as well as to access local businesses.

We respectfully request the placing of traffic calming features to encourage a reduction in speed along Pinedale Avenue and more attention being drawn to the need to come to a complete stop at the stop signs.
