Name: Corey Petree on Aug 1, 2007Comments: Most grocery stores in this area are swamped and overcrowded because we don't have enough stores for our population. H Street NE near Union Station has no grocery stores. It would also help make the neighborhood more walkable to have a grocery store in our area. I'm convinced that whoever opens a store here will be overrun with business.Flag

Name: Alan Kimber on Aug 1, 2007Comments: We are so badly in need of good shopping in our rapidly growing area in DC. In addition to already strong demographics in the area, there are 500 new luxury condos delivering in the next month or two, and over 2,000 more units in the pipeline. We are also home to the new HQ of the SEC, and have significant other office building developments underway. Bottom line, if you think the store in Foggy Bottom is doing well, you will be flat-out amazed at the results of a store at 3rd & H Street NE.Flag

Name: Melissa Marcello on Aug 6, 2007Comments: This would be a win-win for Trader Joe's and the neighborhood! With the increased density of the area due the many new condo buildings and the proximity to Union Station, this location shows much promise for an establishment such as Trader Joe's. Thank you for your consideration! Melissa MarcelloFlag

Name: Noah Meyerson on Aug 6, 2007Comments: I live at 4th and F and try to travel to the Trader Joe's in Virginia and Foggy Bottom, but often cannot make it there. If a TJs opened, it would immediately become my store of choice, as it would for many if not most of the people in the area. It would also draw from Brookland, downtown/NOMA, and people heading from work downtown to eastern DC and the Maryland suburbs. In addition, many people walk from the Foggy Bottom metro to the Foggy Bottom TJs - this location is even closer to Union Station.Flag
