Please support MI State Senator: Buzz Thomas, please read: www.DetBuzz.com his website, click on (fighting for mental health courts), He is fighting for our state Legislature to recognize our desparate need for defense and appropriate sentences served for so many young adolescents that committ low-severity repeatd petty crimes that the Law officers of today make large variety of charges against one crime at the time of arrest due to Substance Drug Abuse. This is a huge serious issue with young offenders that are facing long-term hardcore prison sentences in the highest level of maxium security levels in our state priosons. This is not fair justice against the small theft petty crimes that are comitted due to severe drug addiction and withdraws that these young offenders face alone and given long length unappoperiate sentences. Our tax dollars pay for these housing prison buildings to hold and keep hardcore prisoners out of society for our protection. On the other hand these same doors are being opened for our children that have Mental Substance Abuse issues that need to be addressed in a different manner then putting these young adolescence of the ages between 17-24 yrs. old that have been a product of there environment due to Substance Abuse in there own family. Our voices need to be heard towards the legal system that makes the laws of prison sentences that are against our children with much to harsh long lengthy probation periods that are set towards these teens that battle a fighting disease that is a illness Substance Drug Abuse Addiction. That we should be standing up for Mental Courts to be established so that these teens can be separated from hardcore prisoners that committ more farther dangerous crimes. Our Justice system needs to reconstruct and define proper crime punishment and look at the mental issues that are far to great due to the Drug Addiction of illness, not locking these teens up and throwing the key away leaving them to be isolated behind bars with no where to run or protection inside the prisons that are shared with hardcore inmate criminals. Please write our Legislature to establish Mental Courts for Substance Drug Abuse Addiction, this is becomming a large issue in America today, that should not be overlooked or unobserved in our judical law court system that creates unfair standards against our children when legally arrested and afterwards charged are further plunged into the legal system that fails them of the real problems that cause petty theft crimes and behavioral habbits, due to drug addiction illnesses that becomes categorized as punishment crime and sentenced in the prison walls without the appoperiate treatment that is needed for these teens. Prison is not the answer! Our voice of change to fight for there rights, that is the humane thing to do for the right appoperiate justice that is served upon our children for today and tomarrow. I urge you all to sign this petition to create a large limit amount of signatures needed so that this can be an important issue brought up for discussion to our legislature. We are the people, that our congress is to serve, if we do not make our voices heard and fight for our childrens rights and for the proper appoperiate laws especially for the low-income households that do not have enough finances for a high quality lawer to represent them from city court, to circut court, to supreme court, that this is the process for fighting a battle for innocence. What about our teens innocence, there life taken from a illness that causes behavior disorders, that causes low-severity theft crimes that are esculated from substance drug abuse and plunged into the legal system traped in the prison society that teaches them far more dangerous crimes. Our teens need to be treated medically in fair medical mental courts that can be of proper assistance instead of hardcore prison punishment. Please sign, help make this petition get reviewed by posting on to all social networks to help create a large amount of signatures for our legislature to review.
