Stop the new 6th Form Uniform Regulations!

Please sign this petition if you disagree with the new uniform rules that Townley are bringing in in September for the 6th form. All suits must be plain black (ok for most, but what about those with pinstripes or grey suits!) and no more plain tops, just plain shirts. And I assume this means a shirt with buttons and a collar :( My friend attends a grammar school that's higher than Townley in the league tables and they're allowed to wear whatever they like to 6th form, so that shows that uniform doesn't affect grades achieved by students, right! I've always kept to the uniform rules since we started year 12, I stuck to plain tops and black suit, with a bracelet and necklace, and it was only through the stupid behaviour of some that the rules were changed... thanks to those people! So maybe if we get most of the year 13s and year 12s-to-be to sign this petition, we can make a difference. It worked when trousers were brought in a few years ago, apparantly!

6 years ago Comments: i bought a pinstripe suit for induction only to find i cant even wear it. they shouldnt be able to force us to wear whatever they want since we did our duty for five years!! some of us were thinking that we could wear shirts with a vest underneath, then just do the shirt up with one button.
