Chapter 416 Request a legislative body of municipality may adopt a ordinance to prohibit or restrict the sale or use of consumer fireworks within the municipality. Municipalities that prohibit or restrict the sale or use of consumer fireworks provide to the Office of the State Fire Marshal a copy of the relevant restriction or prohibition within 60 Days of adoption. We the people on this petition would like to call for a town meeting for the ban of use of fireworks, due to the children not getting proper sleep due to the noise, livestock and animals not accepting the noise overhead and and/or close, the fire threat due to fireworks in and around, due to heavy wooded areas or barns holding dry hay or possible house fires.
