Tottenville High School Safe Streets

Tottenville High School is home to over 4000 people during school days. We are now mourning the loss of one of our students: 17-year-old Janine Brawer. She was taken from us in a tragic accident that took place in front of our school on Friday, November 13, 2009. For years members of the Tottenville High School family have been complaining to no avail about the unsafe and neglected streets that surround our school. We hope that one good thing that comes from our heartbreaking loss will be improvements that make our streets safer. We ask the City of New York to make the streets surrounding our school safer with at least, but not limited to, a traffic light, sidewalks, clear crosswalks and tree-trimming.
