Sheila | Harding | As somebody who her lost her mother just ago, I am so very angry that I was forced to pay, in total, £55 to visit my mother on 4 occasions in the past 10 days. At this particular hospital (Mayday in Croydon) there is NOWHERE else to park. Hospitals are making vast profits at the expense of those needing medical help. Well done Wales !!!
Noel | Vizcaino | "an indirect (or hidden) tax on healthcare"
Sean | Quinn | totally agree with this campaihn
Elaine | Nicholson | Free prescriptions would also be appreciated,We demand the rights of Scotland and Wales.
gill | lees |
John | Edwards | Hospitals should not be charging for vehicle parking. If they must, then a nominal £1 charge should be made for the duration of the day.
James | Keiller | An Iniquitous Medical Practice . . . especially when the administrators allow themselves free parking !
Stephanie | Heppell | Its about time that the government started treating people all the same, its not good enough that some people get parking and prescriptions for free, someone has to pay and it seems that it is England. We have United Kingdom Passports so that includes Wales and Scotland all in the same small Island. Rip off Britain comes to mind!!
Anonymous | Anonymous | ALL HOSPITAL CAR PARK CHARGES SHOULD BE AT VERY LOW COST
lauren | williams | Im a nurse and the parking costs are discussting lets hope we can follow Wales's example.
Aline | Moss | My husband had a new knee and got an infection in it, he was in hospital for 10 days, can you imagine how much the parking charges amounted to for myself and his family twice a day at £1.70 a throw it would have been much cheaper for everyone if he had his leg off, he would have been out in 3 days.
Kevin | Jalali | even the staff have to pay; it is stupid and takeing the mic. Another labour stealth tax.
Sharon | Denley |
Anonymous | Anonymous | Not before time is this iniquitous charge being challenged.People using hospitals usually have enough worries without getting fleeced paying parking charges.
William | Mackie |
Wendy | Cowdroy |
Monica | Varney | I agree with everybody else there should not be charging at hospital car parks especially if you have to go every day for weeks on end.
James | Thomas |
Caroline | Avery | another way of ripping us off

Len | Welsh | Parking charges are a stealth tax, par for the course for this government.
Len | Welsh | Parking charges are a stealth tax, par for the course for this government.
Priscilla | Cullen | It is a tax on the sick, anxious, frightened, dying and grieving. The government must fund Health Trusts adequately and stop the discriminatory underfunding of Englnad compared with Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
Courtney | Williams |
Richard | Chaumeton | do for once what the people of this land want and not what you consider will earn you more revenue to spend waistfully.
Anonymous | Anonymous | When appointment confirmation letters are sent why not include a limited parking permit so the right peoplecan park and reduce abuse of the limited space

Colin | Baker | England should also have Home Rule to run its own affairs.
kevin | cusse |
| 50 | Hayley | Wakeman | I believe strongly that the sick, and relatives of the sick, should not have to pay these charges. my ex-husband nearly missed the birth of our first child because he had to go out and put more money on the parking meter - this was incredibly distressing for me at a time when there should have been nothing else to concern ourselves with apart from the birth of our child.
Whilst I fully understand the necessity of not allowing hospital car-parks as a free for all, surely a better system could be employed? Such as sending a parking ticket with a hospital appointment or allowing wards/maternity units/A&E to hand out pre-designed tickets? |
