| 1059 | Mara Samardzic | Toronto is on the cusp of some wonderfully innovative and forward thinking movements in terms of sustainable agricultural practises, local growing and urban farming. It is time for the policy makers to take the time to investigate the merits of allowing for chicken raising practises within the urban boundary. |

This would give kids in Toronto a chance to experience the responsibilities and fun to raise chickens themselves. Plus they can learn to be humane and understand why KFC is not healthy. |

| 1096 | Deborah Kohn | Please allow us city-dwellers to keep chickens. They are small, low-maintenance, quiet and productive. They function as both pets and a source of healthy eggs. They give all the benefits in developing caring and awareness in people of all ages of pet ownership and participation in small-scale agricultural work. My only concern is that ownership be responsible and the chickens be protected from city predators like raccoons and foxes. |
