| 5 | Anonymous | This limitation on such an obviously useful animal is absurd. Recently, Mr McGuinty passed a loa that allowed people to actually hang their clothes out to dry, saving lots of energy.
Allowing people a limited number of chickens should also be allowed.
No one says you need dozens...just a few to keep you in a supply of fresh eggs.
I'm with Toronto Chickens on this one. |

| 19 | Anonymous | Let's make Toronto a place that is walking the walk, not just talking. If we are a Center of Excellence in Urban Agriculture, than we should be demonstrating full circle food systems. |

| 21 | Anonymous | Why in the world are chickens illegal and dogs are legal? Why in the world are leaf blowers legal and gentle clucking chickens illegal? It seems that pets are OK, but pets that also supply food are not OK. Makes no sense! |

| 36 | Sunny Lam | Considering the current energy and food price situation, urban chicken growing is becoming an increasingly viable option as is a lot of urban food production. The research shows its viable - it is primarily a policy issue. (Sunny Lam & Associates) |
| 37 | Yuri Yarin | I once brought home some chicks while I was child living in Israel. My parents were a little shocked, but we raised them until they were almost grown up, at which point we gave them away. They gave us very little trouble and they were indeed a great deal of fun to keep. |

| 44 | Christine Carstens | It is a great idea to have chickens in our backyards. However, individuals who are contemplating raising chickens must prove that they can show responsibility over them ; make sure that chickens are taken care of in a humane fashion; not neglected or ill treated. |
