Tom Tom rip us off BIG TIME on map prices !
Just one of the many comments we see all the time -
"I just purchased my Tomtom One on July 16th. The unit came with NA map version 6.65 but when I called Tomtom on July 24, I was told that 6.75 is the same as 6.65 which was released in Jan. Tomtom insisted that they are the same and explained that the different channels used for releasing the sw caused the different version - which I highly doubt.
Can anyone shed any light on this. I am thinking about returning the unit if I had to shell out more than $100 to get the new map..."

Did you know Garmin offer their customers free updates!!
So why do Tom Tom keep ripping us their lifeblood customers off by charging unreasonable map update prices?
