Toll Brothers Builders is petitioning to the Village of Hawthorn Woods, IL to rezone the final phase of the development of Hawthorn Woods Country Club. The property in question is surrounded by holes #5, #6 and #7 and has 36 "Signature" homesites approved by the zoning board of the Village of Hawthorn Woods at time of initial development.The rezoning is calling for 63 homesites instead of 36. There are also undeveloped parcels on the 17th and 18th holes. Despite this petition to the Village of Hawthorn Woods, Toll Bros. is planning to "moth-ball" their building out Hawthorn Woods Country Club. We also understand Toll Bros. has offered 6 undeveloped lots on Fairfield Rd. be donated to the Village of Hawthorn Woods as a bartering tool for this approval. Those signed below petition the Village of Hawthorn Woods not to approve rezoning 36 lots to 63 lots.
