As long time Pasco County residents and taxpayers of Todd Trail we are being asked to relocate our mailboxes. Our street is nicely paved with easily accessible mailboxes. However, there is a void at the Nelson, Todd crossroad. After contacting 352-796-3664 the number provided we were told that there is added milage to turn around to avoid this obstacle. Well I have to ask what do mail carriers do on dead end streets or cul-de-sac streets. In the unofficial letter the currant postion they are requesting to move the boxes  is onto a high traffic road where security is an issue. With the majority of the street currently paved why are we being penalized? The few mailboxes that are affected could be moved either down Todd to a paved area or be placed on Nelson, choice should be by the resident.  As residents we want to keep our mailboxes in front of our homes safely out of vandals harm and ask the carrier to just turn around!!
