Dear PepsiCo Executive:
After careful review, PepsiCo Canada will discontinue the Executive Physical program, effective January 1, 2014.
There are a few key reasons for making this change. First, the program’s utilization rate has historically been extremely low, with less than 20% of PepsiCo’s global B2+ population participating each year.
Second, developing a long-standing relationship with a primary care physician who can provide you with comprehensive medical care is one of the most important steps you can take for your health and well-being. Getting an annual physical with your primary care physician—versus at a specialty medical center—facilitates this relationship.
Last, the services provided under the Canadian Executive Physical plan continue to be covered under: your provincial health care coverage, the PepsiCo benefits plan or offered free-of-charge under the Employee Assistance program, resulting in redundant service offerings.
While we will no longer offer a separate Executive Physical program, promoting the health and wellness of all of our employees remains a top priority and is reflected in PepsiCo Canada’s quality medical coverage and Healthy Living Wellness programs.
