My son Marquise was taken from me in 2007 and put in CPS because I was on drugs and went to jail. I tried sever times to do programs and never completed them. Marquise was placed with paternal grandparents and they now have guardianship of him since Oct. 2010. Which at the time the grandparents gained guardianship and placed on the program Kin-Gap I was in a live in program. Which I graduated in Dec. of 2010. Since then I have been clean and sober and live in Transitional Housing and have my daughter full time. I also remain active in the programs church every week though the drug program is closed now. I am also a full time student in college taking Social Service Paraprofessional trying to get my A.A Degree and I work at the school through the Federal Work Program. I have remained visiting my son every week or every other weekend which i was aloud to take Marquise over night. For i have a two bedroom apt. at the Transitional Housing. I drug test every month since i have been living here since Jan. 5Th 2011. I have another son who's 10 and lives with his father, I see him every other weekend. In which the children love having their brother around when they are able to see him. When I do have Marquise he never wants to go home and when i visit him at paternal grandparents house he does not want me to leave. Marquise will not say goodbye to me he just runs to his room and looks out the window. It has 4 1/2 years and my life has changed in so many was I just want to make my family hole again. Please help me to do this in regaining custody and or joint custody where no one can tell me I can not see my son. I would like to have a say in my child's life.
