It is widely acknowledged that when people buy goods and services, their consumer rights is protected. This is so because it is the role of any government to eradicate unfair business practices to make sure that the population is not cheated. Yet in Cameroon, access to electricity which is considered as an inalienable right is far fetched.Water and energy are considered as social amenities. It is for this reason that the state owns the highest share in water and electricity supply companies. This is to ensure that consumers are fairly treated and their rights respected.
