I am starting this petition to try and get speed bumps put on the streets of Steele, Stout and 8th Drive. I also want to get the yield sign that is at the corner of Steele St and 8th Drive replaced with a stop sign. I started this petition because I have young children and there are a lot of young children in the neighborhood and my husband and I have called the police several times about people speeding through our neighborhood and they don't really seem to care about it that much. I have a lot of toys in my front yard where my children play with other kids from the neighborhood and I'm afraid one of them is going to get hit one of these days. There is also an elementary school near by and kids walk on these streets and people just drive way too fast through here. I think speed bumps in our neighborhood would help with people speeding through here along with a stop sign because most people don't even yield at the sign that is there.
