Well, it has been some time since I started this petition and I only dreamed that it would gain the state-wide interest it has. Six years is a long time for very little progress. I want to thank Senator Dolores Gresham for her support from the very beginning of this effort. If not for her, this would have had zero attention in the TN General Assembly. In fact, she did get legislation passed to eliminate sales tax on these shelters a few years ago. Unfortunately, I don't think many knew about it.The bottom line here folks is nothing is going to happen unless we make it happen. This effort needs to go viral. Right now it just a little ache. We need it to be full blown Influenza! I know each and every person who has signed this petition knows at least five people with Internet access. We could have over 10,000 signatures by the weekend! Turn this into the Fabergé Shampoo commercial and tell two friends and they'll tell two friends, and so on, and so on!Take it to your local...
