Clark O'BrienI love the wrestling in TNA but you overcomplicate over complicate every feud with multiple angles (Joes feud with Booker T also involving sting for no particular reason) use too many gimmick matches to the point they become boring (Having Joe have a match with Booker in a steel cage not long after having one against Angle). The X-Division is what got you attention in the first place now its only treated a little better than the wwe cruiser weight title. If the X Division was pushed to the front the way it was in the days of Joe,A.J and Daniels you would get more viewers all you have to do is look at the numbers you get from knockout matches to see that your best bet is to promote something the WWE would never try. The fans want an alternative to WWE Kurt Angle is an amazing wrestler that people like, but even he hasnt been able to draw in new fans. Please stop trying to compete with the WWE be something new and different like when you started, people wanted to see Jerry Lynn, Psychosis,A.J and other great high flyers and luchadores people were interested despite J.J's strangle hold on the world title (I understand because of the inability to offer contracts that JJ was the safest bet as champion) despite having two hillbillies chasing midgets round the arenas, despite Cheeks. Also super Eric is funny but is he funny enough to take up as much time on the show. Lastly Roughcut and Karrens Angle are pointless let the wrestlers have some promos to get their in ring persona over rather than prerecorded pseudo shoot interviews about their real life I appreciate that Matt Morgan has been training hard to be a wrestler but I find it hard to see him as a monster when he sits down for a friendly chat, and Karrens Angle is hardly Pipers Pit, Kurts wife is pretty but thats about it. Sorry for the grammar
Dan DoolanAll I am going to say about TNA is that its a shame that the far superior federation, talent wise, is loosing the ratings war due to poor "Clusterfuck" booking. People are bored with the product the WWE are churning out and would like an alternative. But when they witness what TNA has to offer they see nothing but bad writing and bad commentary. If TNA dies, this will be the reason.
Russ II love TNA with every fiber in my being. I watch Impact! every single week, something I can't say for any of WWE's programming. The action is great and the roster is by far one of the most talented in any wrestling organization. The only problem is the horrible booking! You have segment after segment showcasing TNA's low quality in production, you have storylines that don't make sense, you have gimmick matches on top of gimmick matches in all PPVs, you have homebrew talent deteriorating under already known stars, you have these pointless Rough Cut segments that do nothing but waste time; all-in-all, the booking is just a freaking mess. I hate to say it, but whoever is heading the booking team *cough*Russo*cough* seriously needs to re-evaluate what fans really want to see. Is it this wacky, goofy nonsense of segments? Mismatches and horrible gimmicks (Rock n' Rave with Guitar Hero guitars?) will be the downfall of this company, and I don't want to see a company I've stayed loyal with since the weekly PPVs to go under. Please reconsider reorganizing the booking team.
Dream WeaverI have been a TNA fan since 2003 and it is easy to see how dreadful their TV show "iMPACT!" has gotten recently. The booking does need to change.
SarahPersonally, I'm quite happy with the booking overall. The right people usually seem to find their way to the spotlight. However, it saddens me that two of my favorite wrestlers, Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin, are so horribly underused on the show. Politics aside, these two men are some of - if not THE - best wrestlers you've got at your disposal. Even with their current de-push, they still get over when you actually let them go out and wrestle. I would love, as a dedicated Impact watcher and PPV buyer, to see my favorite guys get some more screen time and hopefully even a tag title run. I feel I can speak for your female fanbase, as well, when I say that those two are draws for more reasons than their wrestling ability, if you catch my drift. In a company when almost everyone seems to get the time and treatment he deserves, the treatment of these two seems to be a blantant and disheartening exception.
AaronI too want to see a change in the direction the booking of their big matches take.
Greg LewisMore simple less new gimmick matches more straight forward angles
Jimmy EstradaTNA doesn't need anymore gimmick matches. It needs to bring back the X division as the main attraction... also, stop over booking the endings, for the love of god. It would be nice to have at least one main event match that ends cleanly.
AnonymousI feel that TNA should have longer storylines that do not change weekly as it confuses the viewer
ZekeTNA has the best mainstream wrestling today.. please fix the storylines.. there is too much
AnonymousTNA shouldn't focus on old talent but instead let them help elevate the new, younger talent to new levels. Also, a perfect example is Samoa Joe, when somebody is at his peak of crowd overness, then put the belt on him and not 2 years too late to get TNA to a higher level. Plus TNA shouldn't come up with stupid, senseless matches anymore. The elder gimmick matches that already exist are perfectly fine, when the booking and timing is right. Other than that, you don't always need a gimmick match. Some wrestlers can wrestle a pretty darn good match if they are given the chance!
Stuart Sims
Steven DomoneyTired of the overbooked, non logical rubbish every week on impact! with such a talented roster TNA should be streets ahead of WWE
Ryan PaganI think the biggest problem I have with the current booking in TNA right now is the "cross-over" effect. For example, Booker T vs. Samoa Joe. First, it seemed Joe was feuding with Nash, but wrestling Booker. Then it seemed like Joe was feuding with Sting but wrestling Booker. But Joe and Nash are cool, and when Sting did finally show up to attack someone, he attacked AJ Styles instead of Joe! While I'm sure this is setting something up, can we actually finish a feud in the main event? Similarly, Kurt Angle was at one point wrestling Christian Cage while basically feuding with Samoa Joe at the same time. Also, Jay Lethal having Macho Man's mannerisms is funny. But having an increasing number of wrestlers using previous wrestler's gimmicks all on the roster at the same time seems to imply a lack of creativity. Jay Lethal (Randy Savage), Shark Boy (Steve Austin), Super Eric (Nova, Hurricane Helms), Petey Williams (Scott Steiner).... If I can add one more thing, I think portraying LAX as "good guys", when they are doing a gang member gimmick sends all the wrong messages to young fans. Coming from a largely Hispanic area where gangs are responsible for a lot of needless death, the last thing the world needs is for kids to look up to gang bangers, even if they're just acting. Thanks for listening.
Greg BrowneI can't really contribute much into what TNA has been like for a number of months. I haven't bothered to even try to watch it since a bit after Bound For Glory 2007. I will say I stopped watching the product due to the terrible booking and storylines. It's a shame when there is some fantastic talent in the ring, but if they are involved in ridiculous storylines that makes them look stupid, I can't be bothered with it. On a passing note, how about a standard wrestling match? Not everything has to have a gimmick... I do hope TNA can wake up before other people turn off their television sets as well. It can only help the business if they get better.
RobertTNA has some of the best talent, unfortunately the storylines are lacking. TNA could literally really start to be serious competition to WWE if the storylines got to be better.
raiden300the writing and booking in TNA has gotten so bad that i cannot bear to watch Impact anymore .
ChipEnough with gimmick matches. They are fine every now and then, but not every week
Anonymoustna needs to show joe off as a one man army kinda deal instead of having this "freindship" with nash this is doing nothing for joes career but only making sure that nash has something to do still tna also need to sort out the promos they seem rushed and always with jeremy borash or that girl who i forget her name now but why not do stars on there own, i remember the joe - morgan promo around christmas time, great stuff but was every single roster member needed for that promo? other than that, i really enjoy watching tna, while the promo's are dire the wrestling is amazing sort your promos and the egos of a few stars who shall remain nameless (i think you kno who) then your product is truely amazing
EveryoneTNA just confuses us. I know lots of us are turning off in droves.
Tom JohnI just want Logical Booking and use of their stars to their FULL POTENTIAL
Steven Schaller
StefanThis is the main reason i dont watch TNA.If they start booking somewhat and smart like WWE they will be fine.
Bryan GrayFire Russo! Seriously, I lost interest in TNA once I saw that Jeff Jarrett had turned into HHH. Rhino held the world title for like a week and a half before Jarrett took it from him.... That was only the beginning of the fall. BUILD CHARACTERS STOP WASTING TIME ON ANGLE SO FRIGGEN MUCH!
Justin OmmertTNA has, quite possibly, the greatest roster of talent in the United States today. I love the WWE and have always watched their programming, however as of late I am dissatisfied with their product. I turned to TNA a few years ago and was surprised at how great the show could be. Lately, this is not the case. Neither company seems to be doing their absolute best, nor do they seem to be utilizing the talent that they have to the best of their abilities. I hope my signature on this petition helps in some way.
Dec CavanaghTake it back to the old school. Take some risks!
amilathe sad thing is in asia specially in indian subcontinant TNA is backed by STAR SPORTS WHICH IS THE BIGGEST SPORTING CHANNELin asia still TNA gives a shit product i have stopped watching TNA for a long time though i only wish very best to them
KyleI believe TNA has better talent that WWE. The Motor City Machine Guns, a lot of Team Japan from the X Cup, all these guys that can fly around the ring is something that's not being seen on wrestling tv. If I want to see a flabby guy and a guy who controls the lights go at it, i can watch WWE (JBL and Undertaker) or TNA (Samoa Joe and Sting). Show me something I can't see anywhere else. Show me the little guys who can fly. I feel like those are the more entertaining matches in TNA and those should be the ones that TNA pushes. Show that TNA is different from WWE, in more that just the ring shape.
jim clarketna has great potential dont waste it
SimonEnough with the gimmick matches. King of the Mountain is good because it is an annual thing but a Last Rites Match, xxx on a Pole Match etc etc. belong in WWE NOT TNA. Please TNA, take a leaf out of ROH's book and focus on pure, solid, WRESTLING matches. A lot of your guys have worked for them before and know how to tell a story. Let them do so. Pandering to morons will not help you because those casual fans probably wouldn't buy a PPV anyway.
justblazeMore clean finishes less WCW finishes stop pushing old has beens over younger stars.
Richard
Craig FolsomI have been a fan of TNA since 2002, and still own all of the two-hour Wednesday PPVs on VHS tape. I was a member of the Frequent Buyer's Club back then, and still have my autographed NWA-TNA poster plugging the war between the NWA and Vince Russo's S.E.X. faction. I own the first 14 monthly PPVs, and a VHS library of Impact on FSN (including both Best Damn Sports Show specials). While I do still see remnants of the "old" TNA in the current product, I also see rampant overbooking, interference, and generally confusing events. Why can't TNA just have faces and heels again? I try to watch Impact and I have no idea who I'm supposed to feel sympathy for, because every character has been booked to act like a jerk. I want good vs. evil, the classic story of the art of professional wrestling. I love events like King of the Mountain, Ultimate X, and Lockdown, when used logically to settle scores or for big-name fights. TNA should also not become a federation that is solely about ex-WWE talent. I recognize this has changed a lot in the past year or so, but there are still improvements that could be made. AJ Styles is becoming legitimate once again due to his feud with Kurt Angle. Kaz is (possibly?) due for a push when he returns. Robert Roode and James Storm are both talented workers that have fought for years in the midcard to make names for themselves; Roode's feud with Booker T looked like a move in the right direction, but he then just fell back to the tag team ranks. Quit paying Sting and Kevin Nash to walk out, do confusing things, and then leave. Start booking the young guys as equals to the WWE veterans (Angle and Booker specifically) and re-create that beloved "wrestling alternative" that existed in TNA's early years.
AnonymousI watch TNA weekly and have been dissapointed with the direction the booking has taken. It seems a lot of storylines are WWE/WCW Russo era rehashes. There is enough quality talent, original "characters"/personnas, etc to create quality, original angles, storylines, and so forth. I certainly hope TNA realizes their strengths and focus on building on them.
Dan PerezI have watched Wrestling probably longer that most people on this Petition and I have to say that with the level of talent and personalities that TNA as a company has, it is a shame that have not figured out how to promote and use them to their advantage. At one point in the Company's history, they are the greatest collection of tag teams any company could hope for and could have even built an entire Pay per View on showcasing their tag team talent. I would like them to focus on the X division and acquire more talent for that division and regularly show case it. The reason the women's division does so well in the ratings most weeks is because of the depth and variety of the women's division. Adding to that depth and variety will further help establish the division and with that philosophy you can build the X division and even build the Heavyweight division around home grown talent like Samoa Joe and AJ Styles.
Mike MonroeThey need to get rid of the gimmicky type charcters and go back to what made them good during the weekly ppv's
AnonymousI agree. TNA became stupid

AnonymousSo much potential.....nothing working on the TV. I 'was' the biggest support of TNA, I haven't watched it a couple years now. Cut the slack, get on track
rodney thomsontna has a better roster than wwe but has no clue how to properly utilize them
BrianWhen TNA went to Japan was the best show ever. That being said they dont do anymore cross federation matches wich sadens me. I also think it would be a good idea to not reconise any former world champion from like wwe wcw ecw. If you want to be the best say only TNA has the real world champ all other will not ever be reconised.
Tyler Bolseiyour booking sucks sometimes your bookings are worse than WWE and they really suck at booking
ErikTNA... Is there anyway you could have a match NOT end with someone running in? A clean finish would be MUCHHHH appreciated. Your product used to be raw and underdeveloped. Now "new company" can't really be used as an excuse. The crappy gimmick matches need to go. The reason the WWE's gimmick matches are somewhat successful is because they are infrequent. TNA needs to learn about moderation. Less spotfest matches. No one likes the old broken wrestlers taking a young gun's ring time. Make those old wrestlers managers or something similar.
Shawn WaggonerAs long as Vince Russo is behind all of this then TNA has no chance of taking that next step. If you look at the creative booking he did in WCW then you would understand why they folded. TNA needs to take notice and realize that as long as he is around then you have a much greater chance of going under rather than moving forward. I hope that Dixie Carter and Jeff Jarrett can see that they need to get away from so many gimmick matches, not focus so much on the older wrestlers, and go back to your roots and what made you. THE X DIVISION!!!!!!!!!!!
AnonymousMuch of what goes into booking TNA is about 7-10 years behind the times. If TNA wants to be an alternative to the WWE as they have long desired, the booking needs to change to reflect the needs of the business in the here & now, not the last decade. In 2008, you need fresh ideas to keep fans interested (this also applies to WWE, BTW), not recycling anything that has been done, and done to death, in the last 5-10 years. Yes, TNA is starting to work in venues more commonly associated with WWE, but that one step forward is being negated by the presentation of television product, and more specifically, a over-reliance on stars whose best days are behind them. If changes are not enacted soon, by this time next year, TNA could realistically be a distant memory.
Miggity MarkImprove the booking.
