   Comments: I would like to council to understand what the current financial situation is in this country and withdraw their demand for a 60% increase in their salary. NO ONE is getting that kind of increase. Clearly they have forgotten what they campaigned on which was a decrease in salary not a 60% increase!!

   Comments: I agree this whole issue is contentious and believe a "Cost of living % increase" would be more acceptable. I am curious, though, and would like to know how many people from the '300' who've signed this petition are going to run for the Mayor position and/or a Councillor position in the next election and make an effort to straighten out the 'running' of the Township. I had a friend and MP from Belleville years ago who told me (after listening to one of my tirades on the running of Federal Gov't) "if you aren't willing to get yourself into a position where you can try to implement change then you might as well keep quiet about the way things are being done". If I were 25 years younger it would be a personal consideration but certainly not at my age now ... how about you who've made your comments and complaints so clear? Will we see any of your names on the "Elect Me" signs?
