Name: Ian Bremner on Jun 20, 2007Comments: I have been using Tivo since the first unitss were available in the UK and they beat all the competition including the much vaunted Skybox hands down. I have been seriously considering importing one of the newer HD systems from the US and hacking it to show PAL. If vVirgin media license the system then I will definately purchase one of their units.Flag

Name: Tom Paterson on Jun 20, 2007Comments: I've been using Tivo since it was first introduced, and haven't subscribed to anything else, as nothing available even comes close to its functionality. I would love to be able to upgrade to an HD version of Tivo, as per the USA. I would be interested in the Virgin service if it had Tivo functions.Flag

Name: David Nightingale on Jun 20, 2007Comments: As a Tivo user for many years I know the benefits this device has over Sky+. If your V+ box had the same functionaility as Tivo I honestly believe it would be a "killer app." (so long as you get the message across) and I would urge you to consider licensing the Tivo OS from Tivo. I might even consider getting the V+ myself then as I do not have Sky HD and would like to try it !Flag

Name: Mark Purvis on Jun 20, 2007Comments: I am a Sky+ customer and long time Tivo owner. If Virgin were to use the Tivo OS on their V+ Box I would drop Sky like a shot. My 7 year old Tivo is still better than the current Sky+ box - there's no comparison when it comes to functionality and ease of use.Flag

Name: Mark Nolan on Jun 20, 2007Comments: The TiVo released in the UK set standards of functionality and usability that haven't been matched by any PVR launched here since. And that was a series 1 TiVo without many of the media management features that are available in later versions. V+ with an up to date TiVo service would be unbeatable.Flag

Name: Alastair De Zeeuw on Jun 20, 2007Comments: The present OS is sickeningly undependable, causing regular freezes and loss of functionality, including being locked out of channels I have paid for. My experience with Tivo was the absolute contrary, being responsive, reliable and intuitive.Flag

Name: Anonymous on Jun 20, 2007Comments: Mr Branson... ppplllleeeease, you know you want to!!! ;) No, seriously, there's no comparison with TiVo, compared to anything else. Licence TiVo in your Virgin boxes, and it will definatley improve it for you, and your customers! You'll even gain thousands, even millions more customers! A big threat to Sky! :)Flag

Name: Thomas on Jun 20, 2007Comments: I'm a 7 year TiVo user in the US, first with DirecTV Satellite for 6 years and now back to Comcast Cable after buying the new CableCard Series3 TiVo. I think Virgin could take a lot of business away from satellite with the superior functionalty of TiVo. I wish for our TiVo Communuty friends in the UK a new TiVo Series3 of there own.Flag

Name: Tim Adye on Jun 20, 2007Comments: I am a Virgin Media customer, but maybe not for much longer. Even the prospect of TiVo software on V+, would keep me loyal. I currently have two TiVos, one for cable, one for FreeView. With the removal of Sky, cable doesn't offer much over FreeView, so I am considering dropping cable and switching to FreeView for both TiVos. An integrated cable+TiVo system would make it well worth sticking with Virgin Media, and keep me signed up for life.Flag
