John Conry | I used to own a Tivo and even though the software has not been updated for years, it is still vastly superior to both the Sky + and V + boxes. I really miss wish lists, season passes and the ability to use wild card characters in programme names. The V + box I currently have is a real disappointment.
John Mayne | Please.
Ian Ireland | I have a Tivo and I have a V+ box, combine the best bits Software(Tivo) and Hardware(V+) would be an excellent u[grade
Ronnie Glen | searching & upcoming programmes would also be useful TiVO features. Come on Virgin get V+ TiVo'ed and stick it to those Sky *******s
| 805 | Anonymous | I'm an early adopter. I adopted TiVo early and have let Sky+ pass me by.
The TiVo functionality is its killer app - TiVo rocks! |
Marcus Millar |
Ann Farr | Virgin companies always give the impression that they are not only different from the rest but a lot more sophisticated. In the case of the V+ Box, however, they don't even measure up to Sky let alone Tivo which has just the best ever functionality, season passes and intelligent sophistication. Come on Virgin -- live up to your reputation. Please!
Paul Cleverley | Seven years after first getting " another gadget" as the wife commented at the time, The wife would not let me get rid of Tivo the best PVR i have ever had, which totally chaged the way we watch telly. C'mon Virgin this product was ahead of it's time seven years ago and still is !!!!
Stuart Castle | Virgin should licence the Tivo software. It's so much better than v+
Michael Conroy | Please gives us tivo
Anonymous | I can't believe that Virgin is satisfied with the horribly slow & bug-ridden system they are currently promoting
Tim Gentry | This would put one over Sky who currently support the v1 UK Tivo. Just look at the ongoing resale market of original Tivos on eBay...
Anonymous | Your service is not what it could be. Why try to redo what has already been done very well?

Anonymous | If you want to beat Murdoch, this is one way to do it.
Mike Silver |
Ben Russon |
Nigel | This would knock SkyHD into the water. Put me on the list!
Anonymous | Tivo Rocks. V+ Sucks. C'mon Virgin make it so.
Nick Smith |
Rick | dooo it!
Helen Abbott |
Mark Allison |
kevin morrison |
fred gannett | A big yes for the **enormous** benefits of tivo.
Anonymous | tivo is the best bring it to the uk
Dr Joe Weber |
ben |
David Wykes | Using a Tivo ATM and i know the better things that V+ or Sky+ have currently. if i got either i would miss what i get now from from my Gen 1. nevermind what the Gen 3 Tivo will do.
femi hwesuhunu |
stephen fuggle |
Jeff Carter |
Thomas Dupplaw | The TiVO OS is superior to all others - it is a piece of software that could be the difference between VM gaining customers of TV and Sky becoming even more dominant.
Anonymous |
Stephen Haynes | My god what a PVR, yes I support this as it would make the V+ the best PVR available
patrick mcgrillen |
Jon Clark | Looks to be the way forward. An excellent package
lee | anything to make the service better than it is would be wicked
Simon Downes | I owned a Tivo 6yrs ago and it's a little sad that there's still nothing on the market that matches its functionality (including the V+ box I own).
Alexander Thomson |
L Wesson | I use Virgin broadband and have seriously considered virgin cable TV. I prefer the tivo box so have stuck with that and freeview. TiVo with V+ would be irresistable!
David Schlick | Gotta happen !
Anonymous |
| 844 | Colin Stewart | I've had Tivo for years and although stuck with Series 1 in the UK, still brilliant.
I want to get the V+ box to be able to record 2 channels whilst watching another, which is the one thing I can't do at the moment.
But, going to V+ will be a downgrade. I won't be able to:-
Extract TV Shows to save
Access the box over my network or the internet (I can schedule my recordings whilst away from home).
Save 250 hours of TV
Play back Live TV (V+ can pause but if just watching, you can't go back the same as Tivo) |
Richard Griffiths |
James Porritt |
Andy H | Using TiVo with VM/NTL for several years now. Wouldn't consider V+ unless it was better than TiVo (which it isn't yet).
Enoch Gitonga | Virgin u've already established ur broadband as the best...just like I believe fibreoptics is better than ADSL, I also believe cable tv should be better than satellite tv. Give this a thought!
Reza Avesta |
Robbie Poulter | Go for it and stick it to Sky
