This petition is focused on small changes that can greatly improve the quality of the experience when playing Titanfall.
This doesn't mean the rest of the game is perfect, but keeping it humble is the best way to make it succeed as small balancing are more likely to happen than deep modifications of the gameplay.
Even if you do not agree with 100% of these proposals, keep in mind that we will be lucky if someone at Respawn actually read this and if like 2 or 3 of these ideas actually make it to the game.

Miscellaneous/menu

* Enhanced training mode. As it is now the training module is useless after you completed it for the first time. With an option to play directly the last part of the training with or without waves of Titans coming, but with the ability to chose the map, our pilot and titan gear among those already unlocked, and even test burning cards (without actually burning them of course) one could explore a map, discover place of interest and more importantly find useful routes for CTF and Hardpoint. Unlike the current training, this exercise should never end, even if the player dies.

* Ready button in lobby. If all the players are ready, the game starts straight away instead of waiting for the end of the timer.
We should be able to switch team on the lobby and during game.

*Switching team. This option is particularly needed due to the low number of player per server, you often end up with 6 players versus less than 3 after a massive rage quit on one side. Then you have only two options, wait for more players with one team dominating the other (not fun for anyone), it can be quit long, or simply leave, witch is kind of lame considering the time it takes to join a game.
This can be set with limitations, like you can't switch on the lobby, you can only do it when one team has at least two more players than the other...

*Put the triple buffered vertical sync back as it was for the beta. It’s annoying since double buffer do not seem to be working at all, there is still massive screen tearing with it.

In game
*This one will not please everyone but bear with me, I will explain why I think it is a good idea at the end.
In situations when respawn is disabled (evacuation or Last Titan Standing), if you’re dead but your Titan is still here, you should be able to control it. The game have to clearly show that the Titan is not in auto pilot mode anymore though the enemies can still put your Titan on its knee by rodeoing it.
And if you’re dead with your Titan ready but not dropped, you should be able to call it, and then control it, with the same limitations.
Of course when your Titan is destroyed, you are out of the game for good, no ejection or anything since you are already dead.
Some players may argue that it is not right, you are dead because you were not good enough and it will change the balance of the game.
Well technically you are still dead. If it is the evac part, you are already screwed, you will not make it to the dropship and moreover the stats en challenges are not affected, it is just for fun. And if it is LTS, it will prevent strange situations, like all players on one team are dead but their Titans are still on the field. Where is the fun in letting players from one team playing against IA while everybody else is watching it passively ?
Another argument is it will not fit the background of the game. Why would they put pilots in the Titan if they can simply remote control it ?
Well in Titanfall hacking enemy assets is a common thing since pretty much anyone can hack a 10 meter high turret in 5 seconds with his USB-stick-knive. So I guess military officers could have decided that the remote-control thing was a major security vulnerability and has to be deactivated by default. It could be temporarily activated as a last resort.
Having pilots considered as expendable compared to the hacking issue fit the background pretty well in fact, it goes along with the corporate greed of the IMC and Hammond Industries.

*This game is filled of small details to enhance immersion but some little things spoil it all.
Players shouldn't be magically respawning on the battlefield. There are dropships and drop pods all over the place, players should spawn in them, like the grunts. Of course don’t put the long version like in the campaign or at the start of the match, you just need to see yourself stepping out of the dropship/pod for 1 second.
Same kind of detail but spawning in a Titan should be in first person view, not third as all the rest of the game is in first person perspective.
Last but not least, you should also be able to see space before the FTL jump instead of a black screen, it seems odd as you have obviously modelled space for the part after the evac.

Game modes
* Option to disable burn cards as a private server option, or by simply creating new games modes, like Hardcore CTF, Hardcore Attrition, etc. event if it mostly affects CTF balance (please no health reduction, it is already pretty low)

* Variant of Last Titan Standing with respawn enabled for the pilots. Right now it looks like TDM without respawn, as you are more important alive without Titan than dead with it. It will looks like a VIP mode where the VIP is not chosen until the last part of the game. Plus it would allow to play the evac part.

* In Pilote Hunter, destruction of Titans should not be taken into account.

* In CTF, the game should not end until both flags are back in their base, just like in Tribes.

* A CTF game should not be able to end on a draw. Instead use a sudden death rule with an overtime : the match goes on until a team score or until the end of the overtime. Just like in Tribes.

* In CTF, there should be a timer somewhere on the hud (on the flag?) when it is left on the field so you know when it will return to its base. Just like in...

*Still in CTF, you should not be able to interact with the flag in any manner while in a Titan (grabbing or retrieving).
Entering your Titan with the flag should make you drop it.
You are kind of unstoppable when you drop your Titan next to the enemy base. Nobody can touch your Titan since it is in its dome shield, and when you get near it, you are invincible as soon as you press E. And good luck to destroy a Strider before it reaches his base, even if you manage to do it, the pilot will eject halfway and land on his flag stand.
CTF was the only situation where riding a friendly Titan was really useful, but by allowing pilots to get in their own Titan this strategy (implying teamwork) becomes useless.

* CTF again, scoring need some tuning. Defending is not rewarded enough, a player with two captures and 0 flag return is awarded a bigger score than one with one flag capture and 10 flag returns. It seems unfair. Also if a player travels 99% of the way to his base with the flag, get killed, and see one of his teammate taking the flag and scoring, he will get nothing. Again it seems truely unfair.

Weapon balancing
I will not get too much in details here as I try to make this petition as consensual as possible, let just say that generally weapon balancing need some tuning.
But I want to address two things more specifically.

*These bloody satchels need to be nerfed. It is like a big frag grenade (that you can detonate on a split second), a more powerful mine than the arc one, a remote controlled explosive (obviously) and a suicide belt, all in one device. It makes all other explosives useless, and it makes all the other players want to throw their keyboard through the window.
You need at least to add a delay before it’s armed, so it can only be used as a (lame) trap, and not as an assault weapon.

*CQB weapons need to be nerfed a little. These weapons are not that powerful on paper, but because of the level design and the pace of the game, most engagements happen at close range, making these weapons a little too obvious choice.
