Comments: I'm a Freshman at Lee. School is hard enough as it is once we are already playing a sport and joining clubs and going into tutorials every morning which ends up as about at 14-15 hour day and eventually ends up representing TISD well. Not us. Keep the students in mind. Stop forgetting about everything we have to do to succeed in school and life. We should stick with the 5 period day which will benefit us. Personally, as a trainer with Varsity-Freshman football and Varsity-JV mens basketball. Missing and covering for one class is hard enough. I believe adding those three extra periods and decreasing our class tine will have a huge negative impact on our entire school and our results.

Comments: Giving high school kids to an 8 period block is junior high teaching tactics! These kids need to be prepared for college and by giving them block scheduling, they will get valuable time in class and not running to class!

Comments: The eight period day will be very detrimental to the extracurricular activities at out school. 45 minutes is not enough to accomplish anything substantial in football, band, tennis or anything else. Also, this makes it very difficult for the typical PAP/AP/IB/PIB student. Some lectures in classes take up the whole block. This means many lessons will have to be spilt up over a period of days. This goes for tests as well. Also, the homework load on an advanced student is going to be very unreasonable. Some would argue that a shorter class means less homework, which is true FOR THAT CLASS. Imagine having to read half a chapter of history, have 25 math problems, annotate half a chapter of a book and so on EVERY NIGHT. People are often busy some nights with sporting events or bible study, so what I and other people normally do is get the homework that is not due the next day, but the day following that out of the way so that they don't have to worry about not having time. This is a huge benefit of a block schedule and will be lost if this is changed.

Comments: I don't think the eight block schedule is good idea I feel that it will not let students absorb what they are learning as much as they can now.

Comments: I completely disagree with the fact that TISD has had considered to have an 8-period day. This can and will cause a conflict in the nearby future. Many students including me have an athletic period, on regular basis it takes about 15 minutes to dress, which means that one will ony have 30 minutes to play and dress back in their regular school clothes.

Comments: I'm an IB student Robert E. Lee, and with the new upcoming schedule change I would have to say that my plate is full enough as it is with the 5 period a day schedule. So I would hope that we can keep it the way it is. Thank you for your time.

Comments: I think having 8 periods is a bad idea because as an IB student we already get so much homework and having that class everyday would make things harder on us because we would never have time to do anything specially when your in extracurricular activities and also we would struggle to get help for homework because you might not understand everything your doing in every class therefore you would need to be in tutorials very early and stay after school and some teachers are not in their classrooms
