Comments: Essex Junction 153.50 gross per week is what you are potentially having some people work for if you vote no. If you can live on that then perhaps you can vote no with a clear mind. Please vote yes if you earn more, my bet is you'll sleep easier.

Comments: Basic human standard for living starts with an individual. Acknowledge things need to change. Please vote yes to raise the threshold of tipped worker's and tipped minimum wages. Don't stop there. We need livable wages, not minimum wages! Thank you.

Comments: I live in Vershire. I think this raise is important, especially for the workers in restaurants that don't have high prices so the workers don't get good tips.

Comments: Tipped workers are being taken advantage of in Vermont. When they don't get the amount of tips expected, due to lack of tourists, bad weather, etc., too often their wages don't suffice.

Comments: As a tipped worker, I feel that it is very important for the minimum wage fvor tipped workers to be reviewed and raised. Those working as tipped workers deserve a fair wage that is sufficient to support themselves and their families.

Comments: The tipped minimum wage needs to be increased. The laws for employers to make up the difference is not being enforced. This is hard, back breaking and stressful work being performed mostly by women without benefits. Do the right thing and raise the tipped minimum wage!

Comments: As an adjunct professor of social sciences and history at three Vermont colleges, I've heard countless stories of how hard it is to make ends meet as waitress or server across the state. These are full-time jobs for single parents, not the teenagers so often noted by business owners and the mainstream press. Wholly dependent on the tourism industry, their wages depend on the weather and the season. Rent, food and other living expenses, however, incur regardless of a good snow season or rain during foliage. These are real jobs, full-time jobs, held by real people with families and responsibilities. To discount who they are and what they do is simply not acceptable in a civil society. I challenge any opponent to provide reasonable and sound evidence that a decent wage for a tipped worker would increase a restaurant meal more than pennies or a dime at best.
