Comments: Didn't give you my last name. I sympathize with you. I was ripped off by a Shell Vacations Club salesman and his slimey sales tactics. They suckered me in while I was on vacation in San Francisco. I was such a fool.

Comments: We were told they could only offer a $1000.00 discount incentive the day we heard their presentation. They said it was against the law to offer it again after that day. However, when I looked at the real estate laws, I discovered it was a lie. Too many people get suckered into timeshare - it needs to stop.

Comments: Dear Jorge, we are currently thinking about buying a timeshare and saw your site. You will get more credibility if you have someone proof your site. There are a lot of misspelled words and such. I hope things turn out okay for you. You don't say which company you bought with. Would you would get in trouble if you printed their name

Comments: I know first hand it is a very misleading tactic this filling of people's head with visions of sugar plums. Common every day folks get lured into this web and tangled they cannot escape and I know that this is unfair. Upon signing the paperwork all of the necessary documents should be prepared and given to the buyer for their immediate viewing. In my case they were mailed to me and they arrived just after the 45 days right to cancel deadline. Bottom line it is wrong to do people that way atleast give them a fair chance to look over the paperwork and allow them adequate time to decide if this is really something they want. It's a money scam cause these folks are getting paid so many ways and the little man gets only a week providing he can make all of his untimely payments that is.

Comments: I agree upon everything that you said. Here we are locked into a situation that we are paying a maintenance fee for property that we really don't own. What did we pay a loan of $5,000 for The maintenance fee keeps escalating every year. There is no cap put on the maintenance fee. What happens when the maintenace fee exceeds what the time is worth Something have to be done about this. I purchased my timeshare around 1982. I canot sell it, or give it away. The Resort where I purchased it, says I am obligated to pay the maintenance fee until I can get sell it to someone else. Under these circumstances, I would not want anyone else to be trapped into this kind of situation and I especially do not want to give them any more money. I hope someone can find someway of getting out of this predicament.

Comments: I realized as soon as I bought it that I had made a mistake but unlike most things you purchase you cannot change your mind. Even if it is the next day. I have been fighting with my company telling them I refuse to pay them anymore money thought I was being very firm but still got talked into letting them take the payments out of the checking account for 6 months. This is the biggest financial mistake I have ever made. I feel they have received enough of my money for nothing in return and don't feel like I should have to continue paying for something that is worthless.

Comments: There need to be a law that states you can take your contract home and read it first. They seem to leave out many things when they discuss it with you. One of the presentations I didnt even see parts of the contract until it was stapled and put into an envelope. I left and reread it. I was able to cancel right away on them.

Comments: Sold a resale timeshare and lied to about the time period when timeshare can be used. Was also told the timeshare would increase in value. Even told that they would buy it back if we were not happy with it. Intend to complain to the BBB, Attorney General and Dept of Consumer Fraud (if one exists.)

When I read your story, I thought...wow they said the same exact things to us. It has been almost two weeks since we signed the contract and we are trying to convice them to let us out of the contract and keep our down payment. Any suggestions
