The petition

Tim DaSilva died in a tragic accident while building his dream; a BMX race track; a place for children, youth and their families to enjoy, exercise, companionship and the spirit of competition. His family has taken solace in the fact that his dream had become a reality and a unique recreational facility that anyone could enjoy.

Now the Niagara Escarpment Commission (NEC) is forcing the family to flatten their son's dream in 60 days (from the end of April 2008) or the owner of the private land (Halton Place) will face stiff penalties. The family and the BMX community are calling for YOUR support to have the track re-opened and the missing permit granted. Not just for Tim DaSilva's family and friends, but for the entire community who benefits from having this unique recreational facility that was built by a young man with a vision that will become a reality with YOUR help.

Please visit the Facebook Group "Save the Tim DaSilva BMX Track" for more information, pictures, videos and the opportunity to submit comments.
