Whereas, Tim Drake is popularly perceived as gay and, DCU canon does not contradict this assertion Whereas, Tim Drake is Robin, an iconic and popular character, and outing him as gay in continuity would be an assertion of inclusiveness and progression Whereas, Tim coming out of the closet would provide a positive role-model for gay youth, friends, and family, and the millions of DC Comics consumers Whereas, DC Comics would receive a tremendous swell of media attention, most likely resulting in increased interest in the character and company, and increased sales of the company\'s comics We, hereby petition Dan Didio, Executive Director of DC Comics, and the editors and writers of the character, To bring Tim Drake/Robin III out of the closet and publicly declare his homosexuality with pride.
