We need all catfish anglers who care about the conservation and preservation of our trophy catfish to come together and get Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources to see the depletion of Kentucky's lakes and rivers. Commercial fishing has got to be slowed or we will soon see a trophy catfish population of zero. Our aim is not to put commercial fishermen who sell small fish to market out of work, but to stop the gross overharvesting of trophy catfish that are decades old to be sold to paylakes where they are caught repeatedly until the ultimately starve and die. There is no way the population can withstand another 5 years of this overharvesting. We want to closely regulate and enforce the regulations to protect the catfish population in our rivers. The current regulations are simply not enough and are not being enforced in any way. Let's keep it clean and professional and get something done about this!
