i am petitioning for tighter gun control because you do not need a licence or even to inform the police of recieving or buying a air rifle unless it has more then 12 foot pound of power then you will need a firearms licence which at todays rate will cost 95 pounds.if getting a licence wasn't cheap a average shotgun costs 250 pounds and a .22 will cost on average 350 pounds these are guns that are powerful and can kill.
