In The long & respectable history of The Tigers, no owner, not James Burns; not Samuel Angus; not William Yawkey; not Frank Nevin; not Walter Briggs Sr; not Walter Briggs Jr; not John Fetzer; not even Tom Monaghan have been as pathetic as Mike Ilitch.
