The name stays as it is because Thomond Park belongs to the fans and no one else. Thank you for holding the line to keep our history untarnished by corporate influence. We will be watching closely to ensure it stays that way for good.
To: Munster Branch/I.R.F.U
Recently, the Munster Branch and IRFU have decided to seek bids for the naming rights of our beloved Thomond Park, obviously we the Friends of Thomond Park cant let this happen! When we look back at all the rugby games played there by many clubs from across the globe, from our local teams to the international clubs and nations, we can all look back at the game between Munster and the All Blacks when Munster defeated them 12 - 0. It was'nt done at the Toyota Arena or the Bank Stadium, but from the only stadium where silence is valued so much....Thomond Park.
So sign the petition, your name and the club you support
The silence in this stadium is a sacred part of our history that no corporate logo can replace. I am reading through your memories of the Munster and All Blacks match and they remind me why this fight is worth every bit of effort.

We are approaching one hundred signatures and need a final push to hit that goal before the board takes notice. Please pass this around your local clubhouse so we can show the IRFU that our history is not for sale.

Absolutely ridiculous idea. You just dont mess with a name like Thomond Park. Too much history there to just throw it away.

Thomond Park is the name. It should stay that way forever. Don't sell our history for a bit of extra cash.

leave the name alone. its part of the identity of the place. we dont need some random company name stuck on the front of our stadium
