Comments: We were going to use you for text books for my College age daughter but since the reason her tuition was raised was due to your not contributing like the rest of us to collecting the same tax that Borders Books and Barns and Nobel did virtually undercut those consumer chices with both lower prices and "NO Sales Tax" put them out of business, lost 40,000 California jobs and Millions is lost California revenue. Now you want to screw us again by eliminating All on line sales in every catigory sales tax so more stores will close and more jobs lost. The only recouse will be to instruct my daughter to stop buying her text books through you. starting with this Fall semester's purchsase of her $300.00 order. Go smoke that you corporate thieves.

Comments: California’s kids, seniors, parks, community college students, University students, courtrooms, even prisoners, have all been cut to balance California’s budget. Now, online retail giant Amazon.com wants to overturn the recently passed Sales and Use Tax law that would require sales tax to be applied to online transactions. Not only does this law provide California with an estimated $200 million in additional annual sales tax revenues, but it also removes an unfair advantage for online retailers like Amazon.com competing with traditional small and family owned businesses.
