SB promotions | The point is one of the best venues in Wales. Premium venues like these should not be threatened by new residents who knew about them
Donald Gilmour |
Ioan Morris | Why did these 'new neighbours' move next to The Point when the knew it was a music venue. Idiots.
Tuomas Masalin | Excellent music deserves excellent venues!
david sinclair |
| 259 | Ben Woolhead | "New neighbours" - exactly. Move in next to a gig venue and you can't expect everything to suddenly fall silent.
The Point is my favourite venue in the UK, and it'd be devastating to see it go. |

sarah | I think it is outrageous that the council wants to close this venue. Apart from it being a beautiful place, it is one of the few good rock venues left in S Wales. I've seen some good acts there and have always thought that it was steadily progressing and was becoming a very popular and respected little place.

craig Fisher | the point is the definative place for all that is alternative - something a city cannot live without.
Andy | I attend Bogiez at The Point on a regular basis. i also attend regular concerts and gigs played at The Point. To close this venue would leave a huge hole in attracting people who like their music loud to Cardiff Bay and Cardiff in general. Please ensure you do everything you cant to keep this essential venue open for people of many Genres to enjoy for years to come
Geraint Williams | Amazing music venue - MUST be kept alive!
Mathew Acreman |
| 277 | Phil Matthews | Please keep THE POINT Open...........
There are not enough GREAT Live music venues around as it is.
THE POINT is One Of The BEST. |
Sasha Dorling | The Point is an excellent venue which has always been considerate of the people who live around it as well as the music community. As a venue it helps to enable new acts gain recognition and find footing in the music world. To cloe it down would be to lose a place which entertains all the sectors of the community and prevent a cultural relic remaining in use and useful.
Richard John |
Tom Matthews | Please, Please, Please Keep THE POINT Open. It's a Great Little Venue for 'Live' Music.
ANDREW WRIGHT | Beautiful venue which serves a valuable service to the community.
Lauren |
Jo Manning | What a shame if this unique venue were to close. It's one of the few remaining independents left in an increasingly generic, chain-clogged city

Anonymous | This venue's benefit far outweighs those of any people silly enough to buy a new flat near it in the bay!
David Wood | people who move in next door to a venue surely knew what the situation was...
Gavin allen | My favourite live music venue in Cardiff. Don't let it close.

| 289 | claire vaughan | cardiff has already lost the coal exchange as a venue and i am stunned to find that anyone could want to limit the live music venues in cardiff, especially at this time when the live music scene is growing at a fantastic rate. cardiff council must recognise that the cultural impact of losing this very pleasant and indiosyncratic venue would be immense, leaving cardiff with only st. david's hall and the dreaded CIA for large capacity venues in cardiff. the point has a very good reputation and is important to the cultural and financial well being of cardiff. rid of us this at your peril.

Sarah Blainey | Do not close!
Sara Cooper | Keep the point alive! It is one of the few small venues left for decent live music, and an important part of Cardiff's culture.
Anonymous | it's a gem of a place and should be kept alive.
Emma Parry |
James McLaren |
Chris Evans | I love The Point. Please don't close it.
Hannah Quinn |
Michael Took |
Dan | good luck
| 299 | Chris Phillips | The Point is a fantastic venue, if it were to close, what would go in it's place(another Tapa's bar just what the Bay needs!) IT is the only mid sized venue in Cardiff. Bands not able to fill the CIA or St. Davids Hall would leave Cardiff off the Itinery and the cultural loss to Cardiff would be immense. Worst case scenario, this magnificent building gets boarded up, vandalised and eventually demolished whilst in its present capacity it is the lifeblood of new and exciting music in the City.
