| 5861 | Norman Tigwell | There must be a compromise that can be reached which will avoid the need for such a radical solution as "closure"! |

| 5865 | Val Hill | The Point is a fantastic space with it's William Morris window, and a wonderful venue - please keep it alive. |
| 5866 | Ollie Campbell | went to see MSI here. great venue would be sorry to see it go |
| 5867 | Louise Norman | |
| 5868 | Martyn Jenkins | The resident who is complaining would / should have known that the Point existed before he/she moved into his/her property. The Point was there first! |

| 5870 | Paula Edwards | This is a wonderful venue in a beautiful building, and was operating, as far as I know, well before developers moved in and made new apartments etc nearby. Noise from any venue can be a problem, but those new neighbours surely weren't forced to live near the Point? Isn't it a sensible course of action to check the environment around where you may be considering living to see if it suits the way you want to live? This sounds to me like buying a property near a school and then wanting the school closed down because of the increase in traffic twice a day. Why should these new residents not sensibly consider some kind of compromise - after all, The Point was there long before them, I suspect. Do they really want no amenities near where they live? If so, they should go and live on a new development of purpose built apartment blocks, such as those on the Cogan Spur link road. They'll still have to contend with Morrisons, the ice rink and Toys R Us, though. Maybe they'd start action against those, too? Sorry, now I'm just being facetious, but I assume that these residents chose to live where they do. |

| 5872 | NathanM | SAVE THE POINT! The people who bought those new houses must've known there was a music venue! Tough Luck! It was there way before the new houses! |

SAVE THE POINT!! |
| 5878 | andrea rowe | dreadful news.. cardiff docks is totally losing all its individuality and personality... just what we need.. more overpriced housing which local people could never hope to access |

| 5880 | Richard P John | This is one of Cardiff and Wales best small venues. It should be allowed to flourish. |

| 5882 | Matthew Nicholas | Don't let another great Cardiff venue die - KEEP THE POINT ALIVE! |

| 5884 | Jennifer Williams | The new tenants in the loft apartments should have checked out the area before moving in.They only have themselves to blame.Apparently The Point has been a thriving venue for many live acts over the years and should continue to be for years to come. |
| 5885 | Anonymous | It would be a terrible loss if this venue were to be closed - it's not as if cardiff is over run by interesting live music venues! |
| 5886 | Dan Passaro | Its a good venue. Not many like it in Cardiff. |
| 5887 | Andrew Ward | Cardiff needs all the music venues it can get.
Losing The Point would be a disaster not only for Cardiff, but for the whole of South Wales. I travel from Bristol to attend gigs at The Point, and I would be gutted if the venue were to close. |
| 5888 | Luke Furr | I think the new neighbours should (have) be(en) more intelligent and realise that moving in close to a music venue would entail music until the "later" hours of the evening.
they say location is everything, seeing as The Point has been around (much) longer, the weight should be on the neighbours to have to prove their case not for the venue and its services to be the scapegoat of dispute.
Its yet another attempt to clamp down on creativity and positive exchange, if anything The Point should receive a lot more credit for the variety of acts it introduces to the public and providing entertainment to those who need it.
For these reasons I am in favour of keeping this venue in operation, and I'm sure with a bit of unbiased consideration - a working agreement can be made. I wonder what the full complaint was and if it was case specific |

| 5890 | lisa | well it is where cerys matthews plays so it has to stay open ! |

| 5893 | simon roberts | This is a perfect example of how sport is seen as more important than music in politics, i can hear the millennium stadium from Llandaff on a match day, there are fights, disruption, and litter thrown all over the city. And for an entire day, the city is essentially under police control. Yet a beautiful music venue cannot be kept open because of peoples close-minded views on noise. I cannot fathom how someone would want to spoil other peoples lives for the benefit of their own, those who make complaints are selfish and are everything that is wrong with the world. |
