Bethan James | Well to be honest, there are very few local places for smaller bands to play, so why get rid of the few we have?!?! Everyone has some sort of love for music, think of a world without it!
Jo Blockley | Recently went to see The Hold Steady at this fab little venue and was impressed. All british cities need venues of this size to encourage new and minority bands in order to keep the music alive and accessible.
Joanna Hawkins | Save this fabulous venue. How ridiculous of this new and irritating neighbour to want to spoil the cultural opportunities The Point has to offer.
Anonymous | We need a music venue the size of The Point in Cardiff
Anonymous | keep the point alive as its a part of the comunity.. at least whats left of the comunity
Louise John |
vanessa shanahan | can,t the building be sound proofed then everybody would be happy.
Ashley Bloor | This is such a fantastic venue bringing some of the best live musical talent to South Wales. There are so few venues as great as this in South Wales that we need to help keep this venue open please.
Anonymous | What a travesty it would be. Cardiff needs more places like the point and then maybe the streets wont be so littered with people with nothing to do!

Ashe | Save the Point!!!
Paul Thomas | As a local resident I support locations like The Point which were in Cardiff Bay long before I moved there. I don't buy a house/flat and then expect local businesses to shut down because I have moved there.
Jim | Noise issues can be sorted out. Don't allow this to close such a great venue.

natalia | It's a really good venue and a really nice size. It attracts diverse music nights and a diverse crowd. Keep it open because the bay would be dead without it!
Jon Hill |
Paul Zervas | Closing 'The Point' would be a huge blow to all live music lovers in Cardif and beyond!
Collette Davies | Cardiff is a unique city small and compact, and everone who visits us loves the place, lets not close something as special as this down for the minority of people who always seem to get there way
C Winters |
David Dawes | The Point is a vital resource not only for the residents of Cardiff, but for everyone in south Wales with a love of good live music and community atmosphere. Please don't let it be forced to close!
michael john | one of the best venues for live music I've been to
mark lisak | The point is a great music venue, unlike other big cities in the uk there is a lack of genuine good music venues in Cardiff. It would be a travesty if it was closed down and detimental to the local music industry.

Dawn Joy |
Julia Griffiths | There are far too few live music venues in Cardiff as it is, without the threat of closure of The Point on top. Good luck!

| 5743 | simon raymonde | as a musician, label owner and live promoter and curator of stages at various events, it would be a major tragedy to the cultural attraction of the city of cardiff if the Point were to be closed down as a music venue. For bringing in international acts to the city and meanwhile simultaneously supporting the local music scene in surrounding areas, the Point is one of the richest and most RELEVANT of modern businesses in Cardiff and as such should be supported with fervour from the Council.
the venue has from all my research always taken heed of the need for good relations with its neighbours and the residents and nearby local businesses, and it comes as a major shock for this possible closure being mooted.
i strongly urge all policticians and members of the Council to keep this venue alive at all costs.
yours sincerely

Council should be working to keep it open, not to close it. |
