Carl MorrisThe Point is among the best venues in Cardiff. It's vital for the cultural health of the city - long may it host great gigs!
Paul BarnettThe Point is a great live music venue. Those with power should be fighting to preserve arts and culture in this city, not encouraging more and more and more soul-less flats, which would inevitably result in a lifeless, unattractive city.
AnonymousBest venue in Cardiff!

Mike HydeBest venue in Cardiff...it must stay open.
Steven HoneywillJust as the reputation of Cardiff's music scene starts to pick up this would be a devastating blow. PLEASE do not underestimate the impact of this decision!!!

Briony KnibbsThe Point is an excellent venue, that makes a huge contribution to Cardiff's culture.
AnonymousThe Point is a great venue. Who's complaining? It's ridiculous we have to campaign to keep this place open. too many flats not enough venues.

James NeeI find it very disheartening that The Point is facing opposition by a council that should be looking to support and work with it, rather than taking such irrevocable action of taking the venue to court. This is for a number of reasons. Firstly, over the past couple of years The Point has established itself as one of the best music venues in South Wales, where I’ve discovered some amazing bands (including local acts), and which has attracted an eclectic and loyal following with a real sense of community - something which is being slowly drained out of Cardiff Bay due to the continued creation of anonymous new apartment blocks. It feels like all the good work done by the Cardiff Bay Development Corporation is being threatened by the sheer indifference shown by the council. Secondly, The Point is more than just a music venue but also an asset to the local community, as well as the economy. For anyone with no interest in opera or theatre, going to The Point is one of the few attractions of a night out in Cardiff Bay. If Cardiff is to be a vibrant capital city then it’s essential that venues like The Point are allowed to continue and thrive. The closure of the venue would be to the detriment of Cardiff, its nightlife, and the local community.
Tim Snell‘The Point’ is the best live music venue in Cardiff and also one of the city's key assets both culturally and economically. I sincerely hope that it can continue to be one of the key attractions that Cardiff has to offer both to the city’s inhabitants and to the thousands of visitors that come to ‘The Point’ throughout the year.
carl forecastThe Point has to stay open, I find it unbelievable that the law sides with the compainant when the Point was there first, people's careers are on the line here, there really shouldn't be a discussion about this, The Point should stay open, end of argument. In a town full of chain pubs and clubs the Point as an independent business should be supported and not under threat.
Joe GooddenThe Point was always one of my favourite Nilsson albums. And a great venue in Cardiff. For these reasons it should remain open.

Emma MorrisThere is no need to close such a good venue.
AnonymousI really think The Pointy should be kept open. It's a great venue, and is a great asset to the Bay area.
tom reevesHow dare they even consider closing this amazing venue. The NEW neighbours would've known of it's existence before moving in and would be aware of any residual noise. If they weren't - more fool them!

Lee EvansIt appears Cardiff Council has been less than proactive here. I'm sure they would agree that support is required for all of the city's cultural enterprises and not just the chosen few.

AnonymousThe point is an awesome venue for music events etc, but not just that I think people are forgetting that it is a church that offers civil ceramonies as well as a great venue for coperate days etc.
mike ransomeplease keep the venue open as it is one of a kind in wales there is surely no other venue like it.
Esyllt WilliamsThis is an important venue for Cardiff, it seems ridiculous to plough money into revitalising Cardiff Bay with one hand and removing it's cultural centres with the other. This issue should have been addressed when granting planning permission for renovation into flats next door to a major music venue.
samuel phippsthe point is the best venue in wales, iv seen so many bands there that I would have otherwise never have seen. The place is brilliant.
Naomi LaneThe Point is such an amazing and inspirational venue, to have it closed down would be disasterous! I have enjoyed working with the Point for over 2 years, and am proud to have been a part of the legend. Keep the Point alive peeps!!
AnonymousSurely a compromise can be reached between the Parties to this dispute. This is such a great live music venue and it would be a shame to loose it. Have the Point contacted Chapter Arts/other Cardiff music venues to see what arrangements they have in place with the neighbours? Or, does the Council have an ulterior motive? Are there developers sniffing around who want to turn the site into flats?

nick milesit would be a travesty if this place closed down. cardiff doesn't have a decent mid-sized venue after the closure of the coal exchange.
