Name: Kathleen Cowley on Jul 20, 2008Comments: Dr. Dean, I have been a loyal democrat since I first registered in 1976 as many family generations before me.. My future as a Democrat lies in your hands. I remain appalled by the Rules & Bylaws Committee decision. The superdelgates were created to recify a problem such as we are experiencing and it appears that you are doing everything in your power to push Sen. Obama forward, instead of Sen. Clinton who received more votes (once something the Democratic Party valued) and remains leading McCain in the polls. I will not vote for Sen. Obama, not only because he has no experience but because of the treatment of Sen. Clinton by the leaders of the Democratic Party. I will leave the party if Sen. Clinton's name is not placed in nomination, I know I am not alone in my sentiment, 18 million voted for Sen. Clinton and no we are not republicans, nor do we have the memory of elephants, we are loyal democrats who have been overlooked by your coup. I compel you to take the ethical, democratic stand and have an open convention. Keep the Democratic Party democratic!!Flag

Name: Yvonne on Jul 20, 2008Comments: My family and I have been loyal Democrats for generation but are ready to switch if Senator Clinton's name is not placed in nomination and a fair and open roll call vote is not allowed. If we were McCain's people, why would we be supporting Clinton so strongly But keep pushing us away from the Democratic Party and we'll be happy to oblige you. People say, that Democrats have always come back and supported the winning candidate. The only problem with that is, the winning candidate did not win but was openly and disgustingly selected against the will of the people, by Party Leaders. The unfair treatment of Clinton by DNC and biased media, was not only against her but also against over 18 million of us that voted for her. If you want to place blame on whats happening right now, just look in the mirror and the rest of your leaders. It's time you all take responsibility for your part .Flag

More people came out to vote for Senator Clinton this primary season than any other presidential primary candidate in history. I am a active PUMA and am here to stay.Flag

I am one of many who demand that the Democratic Party adhere to those principles and process or I can not support the Democratic Party. You and your cohorts SELECTED Sen. Obama because he was not democratically ELECTED. And there is the problem that you fail to recognize.Flag

I am one of the 18 million people who voted for Senator Hillary Clinton in the primaries and I believe she is the most qualified to be President of the United State. I do not believe your SELECETED candidate is qualified to even be a US Senator. I have been a life long DEMOCRAT.Flag

Name: Andrea Grady on Jul 20, 2008Comments: The party doesn't just belong to its leaders; it doesn't just belong to the newly registered. The Democratic Party also belongs to the dedicated stalwarts who have worked side-by-side for decades to elect Democratic candidates because they believe in the ideals and principles that have long defined us. Don't throw those ideals away. Don't throw us away. For the good of the Party, the process, and the principles of fairness to all regardless of race or gender, put Senator Clinton's name in nomination, conduct an open roll call vote, and then let the super delegates have their say. And Dr. Dean, stop impugning our integrity and our motives. You know very well who we are, why we're appalled, and to what measure the process has been gamed. We are not playing at being victims; rather, we are victims of a process that was corrupted to insure a particular outcome notwithstanding the will of the people. Start acting like a Democrat, Dr. Dean. Do the right thing.Flag

We are ordinary citizens who feel the Democratic party is being "less than Democratic" and hijacking this process for personal gain. Name: Diane Carrozza on Jul 20, 2008Comments: Senator HIllary Clinton's name must be put in nomination, not just "on the ballot"! There must be a roll call vote with Senator Clinton's name on it! Senator Clinton has won the most legitimate popular votes. Therefore there must be an opportunity for the SuperDelegates to do their job, under DNC rules, which is to nominate the best most qualified candidate at the Convention who can win in the General Election. Myself and 18 other million people from all the Swing, Independent and Big States who voted for Hillary demand that the DNC have a roll call that includes the name HIllary Clinton for President!Flag

Name: Patricia Whalen on Jul 20, 2008Comments: I am a 62 year old lifelong Democrat, and not a Reagan Democrat either. I am the daughter of a 40+ year International Association of Machinists' (IAM) New Orleans Local #37 member who represented that local for 30+ years, who by rule, had to run and be relected for that post every 2 years. I have been involved in the Democratic Party since I was 10 years old and Hale Boggs was "running" around the Irish Channel here , with Lindy taking "care" of him. I am a very well educated person and have spent 30 years working in social service projects for the poor and minority elders and families. Among those years are 15 + years of community organizing of self help and volunteer groups for the poor, many of which are still in existence. (That's 14 more years more than "your" Presidential candidate!) My point I am neither naive nor uniformed about the "machinations" of the political process and the traditions of the Democratic Party.I am no Republican. Having summarized my credentials , I wish you to know that I have never in my life seen such a debacle of manipulation, broken rule playing, disenfranchisement of indvidual voting rights el as you and others have overseen during this election cylcle. Both the charter and rules of my party require you to allow candidates to have their names put in nomination at the Convention and to have a roll call vote regarding them. I demand as a Democrat that you and others follow rather than break , ingnore, or manipulate these rules. This demand comes from me to you as a right by party membership and by law. If you and this Party continue on the course you have set out, I and millions of other Democrats will assure that your candidate, Barack Obama, will be soundly defeated on election. Barack Obama is the most incompetent candidate ever to be put forth by this party and put forth in the most corrupt manner in my lifetime. We, Democrats, will not forget you and others. You can continue to pander , manipulate and whatever else you have in mind or you can finally act on the truth of what our rights are.Flag

Name: Joyce Donathan on Jul 20, 2008Comments: The Democratic party has become unrecognizable, pure authoritarian, and I will not be dictated to. Clinton earned the right to have her name put into nomination, and for you to change the rules and time honored tradition in order to secure the nomination for the candidate of your choice instead of ours, is a violation of every single thing this party ever stood for. I will not be a party to it, and I will refuse to validate your criminal acts by giving you my vote in November.Flag

Name: Nancy Kivlen on Jul 20, 2008Comments: Howard Dean, I believe Hillary Clinton WON the nomination and that the Democratic Party (you) have stolen it from her. She won the popular vote and in Feb, 2008 YOU and other leading democrats are on record as stating that the Super Delegates should back the candidate who won the popular vote. When your 'annointed' candidate did not win this, the party changed it's line to be pledged delegate. But, then you made sure BO would win the pledged delegate race by decisions made regarding MI/FL. Had MI/FL been seated AS VOTED, then Hillary Clinton would lead in pledged delegates too.Flag
