Name: Julianne Barbato on Jul 20, 2008Comments: Herr Dean: We demand that Sen. Clinton's name be PLACED IN NOMINATION, you autocratic little Napolean. While you're licking your tiny chops over the installation of your effete, ineffectual puppet, the Party is disintegrating around you. We're hip to the dirty machinations of the Gang of Losers who've turned OUR party into an oxymoron. We'll remember come November, after which you'll slink into a disgraced obscurity. We're working to unseat Pelosi, Reid, Kerry, et al. Won't you be surprised when the true stewards of democracy prevail and you and your footsoldiers are "picked off" the political landscape one by one. PUMA!Flag

You are forcing loyal Democrats to vote and contribute to John McCain because you want your Obama to win the election. He is neck and neck in the polls with John McCain, while Hillary Clinton is 8 points ahead of John McCain, have you lost your mind Or have you been threatened like others haveFlag

Name: Elise Anderson on Jul 20, 2008Comments: Under the official rules of the Democratic Party, the primaries are a chance for all Democratic voters to have their voice heard equally, but someone changed the rules in the middle of the "game" to hand Mr. Obama a nomination he didnt earn. Dr. Dean, that corruption of the Democratic process can be fixed at the Democratic Convention. Following the standard set at every other Democratic Convention, Senator Clinton's name should be placed in nomination, and the delegates allowed to vote for the Democratic candidate most capable of winning the Presidential election. This isn't about Senator Clinton, Dr. Dean, it is about cheaters cheating and getting the DNC to help them. Put a stop to the cheating and stand up for real democracy, Dr. Dean!Flag

Name: Jodie Baker on Jul 20, 2008Comments: Dr. Dean, Now that the expectations of the Denver Group have been made clear, you and others on the DNC, you have a decision to make. Do you need the members of this group, and the hundreds of other groups, comprised of millions of Democrats, Independents, and exiled Democrats (who have resigned from the party after this undemocratic primary season) Initially, Donna Brazile claimed both on television and in emails to exiled Democrats, that the party no longer needed us "old coalition" Dems. Recent polls indicate that, in fact, the Democratic Party does need us. More importantly, at least according to Sen. Obama, they need our "checks". Please be wiser than those who try to label us as "Hillary's disgruntled women supporters." Our movement is diverse both in gender and ethnicity. This is not just about Hillary and Obama, although we do feel he is completely unqualified for the presidency. It's about you, Dr. Dean, and about the others in leadership positions within the party. It's about the manner in which you subverted the democratic process, your complicity in the attempted destruction of Clinton, a sitting U.S. Senator and former first lady. It's about your attempting to select our party's nominee, removing that privelege from the people. You may want to consider this a golden opportunity - a way to amend the flawed plan of running Obama as the Dem nominee. Surely, you know by now that his deficits and flaws have rendered him unelectable. By the time the GOP is through with him, your reputation, along with the others who so proudly upheld him as the standard barer for the "new politics" will be destroyed. This is your only chance to right a wrong and repair your damaged reputation in the process. I hope you will take it. We demand that you place Hillary's name in nomination. To do otherwise will result in the destruction of the Democratic Party.Flag

Name: Diane West on Jul 20, 2008Comments: Dr Dean Trust that these requests; an "OPEN" convention; NO Coronation; will be the ultimate expression of "democracy" and be Willing, Dr Dean; for that process to guide itself. I know it might be frightening that Sen Obama may continue to change course ; reverse himself and raise concerns of unpredictablity; but you Must let the opportunity for the superdelegates to do their job be allowed. It would take tremendous courage should the delegates deem Sen Obama a risk and Sen Clinton; most electable; which in my opinion is already the current consensus; but the courage to actually vote that conscience is most likely not available. What is quite likely is losing the general election if disaffected party members feel their process is a sham and a "Coronation". Better to face it now than November.Flag

Name: Sara Johns on Jul 20, 2008Comments: Dr. Dean, After the way Bush stole the election of 2000, I thought the dems were the "decent" guys. After I got me citizenship a few years back, I always voted democratic because of this perception. Now I realise, the dems do the same this, they just can't hide as well as the republicans. I realised this year the democratic party does not believe in democracy, frankly they have rigged and gamed the primary from the beginning. This is what I saw happening in my country of birth, and now I see the dems, with you, Pelosi and Obama at the helm, leading the charge to make sure the democratic party is no longer democratic. Why bother having election Why not just have your selected candidate crowned That is exactly what you and your cabal of cohorts did. I do not accept Obama as the nominee, and I find him and you to be the deceiptful bunch of people I have ever seen. As I mentioned since I got my citizenship, I have not only voted democratic but contribute a lot of money to that party. NO MORE. As of 3 weeks ago, I signed up with the Mccain camp and will be voting and contributing to his victory. And now I hear you will not allow Hillary;s name to be put into nomination, OF COURSE... WHY LET DEMOCRACY GET IN THE WAY OF THIS FAUX PARTY UNITY RIGHT You have lost 17 hardcore democrats to the other side, I wonder if you even know that you have managed to do in 5 months what the repubs could never do, and that is destroy the name and brand of the "Democratic" Party.Flag

If you fail us in this, you will find the post-E2008 party much reduced and poorer than the party that supported your election as Chairman in 2005.Flag

Carolina, and mailed it by hand in May, and you did not have the courtesy to reply, or even have a staffer reply. Whatever happened to manners and common decency If this is how you handle long-time Democrats, good luck with that. WHAT HAPPENED TO THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY After 35 years of voting "D" - +plus my late parents, one of who was a first-generation American, I feel as if MY party has abandoned me. Under no circumstances will I EVER cast a vote for Sen. Barack Obama, due to the DNC. You will NEVER see one penny of my support again. YOU and your backroom antics are the reason. You and Nancy Pelosi are not fit to feed my dog. Country before Party. Thank you for your attention to this matter, PW OmegaFlag

Name: Anonymous on Jul 20, 2008Comments: Dr Dean - If Sen Clintin is not officially placed in nomination and then an open roll call held, the resulting Dem "Nominee" will have been selected not elected. Nightnmare of Florida all over again - but this time self inflicted. There can't be any sense of the unity you are asking for if the voices and votes of 18 million go unheeded, To disrespect those 18 million, and then expect them ot "fall inline" and supply cash, is insulting and delusional. DNC and BHO campaign would do well to realize that HRC supporters in no way dispute that this is a new era in our presidential elections - but that they see it as one of not just chanting hope & change on the stump, but one that cries for the demonstration of Country over Party, So yes, HRC supporters are indeed open minded - but if they feel they are being ignored, disrespected and manipulated they will use their power of the vote for other viable options. Options that reflect our desire to place our country over your "selected" not "elected" ' party candidate...top of the ticket and downward .Flag

Name: Rosalind Rappaport on Jul 20, 2008Comments: Dear Howard, In the history of Democratic Party conventions, all candidates who won delegates have always had their names placed into nomination so that delegates wishing to do so could vote for them during the first roll call. Why should this be any different for Senator Clinton Is it because she is a woman Do you think you can treat a woman candidate differently than a man and we 18 million voters who support her will think that's fine and fair Since she did win the popular vote, is it because you fear that more delegates at the convention, including the super delegates, will vote for her Is it because the candidate *you* and the hierarchy of the party -- not the Democratic voters -- selected, a man who was handed and accepted votes that were never cast for him in Michigan and who stole Michigan delegates from her, might actually *not* become the party's nominee I am a lifelong Democrat and a supporter of The Denver Group and its goals. Hillary Clinton's name on the ballot is not enough! Senator Clinton's name must be put into nomination, her supporters must be permitted to speak on her behalf, and delegates must have the opportunity if they so desire to choose her during the first roll call vote. If you do not allow these steps in the nominating process to happen, we who support HIllary Clinton will not view the convention as fair and democratic, and the current major rift in the Democratic Party will become permanent. PUMA POWER! Sincerely, Rosalind RappaportFlag
