Throughout the late 80s and 90s, The Chart Show was one of the most popular music shows on the box, bringing us great video premieres and up-to-date chart positions, which TOTP never offered. The show was replaced by the live CD:UK shows after SM:TV. This was also axed due to budget problems and failed to return on Channel 5.
Sattelite channel The Vault kindly brought us repeats of the ITV Chart Show but were cancelled due to low viewing figures. Many think now that because of such music channels, we don't need a chart show. Well, not everybody listens to Radio 1 and not everybody can receive music channels. Nevertheless, seeing older charts and listening to older songs are sure to be more entertaining.
I am willing to present this petition to ITV to persuade them to broadcast repeats of this legendary show, or to a television company that's willing to broadcast them. But your support is required!
Please show your support for the world's greatest music show!
