The Ark DVD!

The petition

For several years, the fans of the Swedish glam rockers The Ark, have been wishing for a DVD. Many times, we have been told that there is a DVD in the making, but that has never been true. Now, after The Ark's success in the Swedish Melodifestivalen, and then their participation in the Eurovision Song Contest, they are bigger than ever. The amount of fans, both Swedish and international, are increasing, and we all wish for the same thing: a DVD.

There have been suggestions made by the fans regarding what the DVD could contain, including: a re-release of the documentary Vi Är The Ark from 2001, a live DVD, or a collection of their music videos. These could be complemented with, for an example, interviews or behind-the-scenes footage.

The reason to why this haven't been done yet, we have been told, is that The Ark's former record company, EMI Sweden, has not been willing to. They are the ones who have the rights to The Ark's songs from the first three albums, and without those songs it is impossible to find good material. E.g when we asked the company Filmosont that have the rights of the movie Vi Är The Ark, if they could re-release it, they said that they would love to but that EMI would not let them.

So now we've made this petition to open up the eyes of the record companies. Not only EMI, but also their current record company Roxy Recordings.
