Comments: The state of California, and the city of San Diego especially, has become one of THE most expensive places to live in the entire United States. To expect that all families can afford to own a home is ridiculous. Most people live where they can afford to live and in San Diego that means an apartment complex. There have been many other times in San Diego history when families have been discriminated against in the apartment complex housing "world". It has been proven then to be illegal to discriminate and will be proven again to be illegal. Let kids be kids, let families live where they can afford to live and still allow their children to be able to play in safe and familiar environments!

Comments: THIS IS SUPPOSEDLY A "FREE COUNTRY." SO, WHY ARE THE WHEELED TOYS BEING RIPPED AWAY FROM THE CHILDREN DOES RV MANAGEMENT HAVE NOTHING BETTER TO DO THEN TO DEPRIVE CHILDREN OF HAVING FUN RV MANAGEMENT SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF THEMSELVES FOR PREVENTING THE PRODUCTIVE EDUCATION OF CHILDREN. YOU, RV MANAGEMENT, SHOULD BE TAKING CARE OF CHILDREN TODAY, B/C THEY ARE GOING TO BE TAKING CARE OF YOU TOMORROW! SINCERELY, TOOTZ

Comments: I really think it's unfortunate, in this day and age, where the whole world is trying to keep kids out of trouble, that we are taking away the staples of their childhood; riding bikes, scooters, and skateboards. I'm sure that even the management at R&V can appreciate their own memories of those innocent times in life, where simple pleasures, like riding your bicycle with your little friends, stand out in your mind as your favorite pastimes. This apartment complex is full of energetic, sweet kids, who want nothing more than to play outside. There isn't a playground for them to utilize, tennis courts don't do much for a 3-year old, and pool season will be over very shortly. What does that leave for these little people I'm very happy with every other aspect of our living arrangement at Santee Villas. I've never seen such a great group of neighbors, who are so concerned with creating frienships and a very safe and protective environment for children and adults alike. I know that that is a shared sentiment. I agree that R&V is running a business. But it sure seems to me that you get a lot more bees with honey...Why not create a positive environment for everyone. It makes good business sense for your establishment to keep, otherwise responsible tenants, happy. Not to mention, you would be making a lot of children (and their parents) very happy. I hope that someone will acknowledge the concerns that we are all feeling, and help work with us on a resolution that will accommodate everyone's best interests.

Comments: Kids need to be able to be kids. What is the problem Noise Then suggest or restrict hours of use. Liability Have an addendum as part of the lease stating the apartment building/mgmt company assumes no risk ato children at play and the leasee acknowledges this by signing.

Comments: Currently I'm a future tenant. I can't say I'll lend total credence to what this person has said...however, I think that it may be in the best interest of the new management to consider that Apartment lifestyles are literally a "way of life" here in san diego, and they should consider repealing this ban on childrens wheeled toys, etc.. Please consider, at very least, because rules like this can directly affect the key demographic and sociality of the residents of Santee Villas. If it shy's away from being a family oriented complex, you may lose present and perspective customers.

Comments: I feel riding a bike is part of growing up.As for me I don't have a big truck or suv to take my grandkids bike to the park.It should be ok for the small kids to ride there bike only if they have an aadult watching them. As for the older kids they can ride their bikes to the park .

Comments: We are in the process of tossing out R & V Management on the basis of derelict of duty. The forgot the MANAGEMENT part of their job. They are low-class losers who cannot function in their job capacity. We have no use for them. If you want to stop R & V Management from jacking your rent any higher, you must protest! Go stand near the office on weekends and pass out flyers to potential new tennants with the web address: www.santeevillas.com and soon they will not be able to rent any more units. This will bring R & V to their knees and begin to negotiate with the residents.

Comments: Santee Villas SUCK. No child should be told they cannot ride their bike, scooter or simply have the carefree fun that all children are entitled to. Instead of building a worthless TINY gym (if you can call it that) they should have built a play room for the children...but then that would make sense and NOTHING about this place makes any sense. We bought a house so thank god we are getting the hell out of this hell hole.

Comments: Do not move to Santee Villas unless you want to pay too much to live in a dumpy apartment with terrible A/C and useless management. You are better off moving somewhere else. The residents are currently revolting against the managers for neglect of their responsibilities. What comes around - goes around.

Comments: I have noticed that when my roommate first moved into his apartment in Santee Villas that he was threatened with an eviction notice if he didnt have his satellite dish taken off his patio or moved back. It was only 3 inches over. But to state the obvious our management sucks because i have shown brandy and christy both about the satellite dish on the balcony of apt. # 250 and still yet nothing has been done. I think it is an outrage that u only do something wrong if ur apt. can be seen from their office. Also they have told me that they walk around after office hours, i have yet to see any of them walk around. The thing with our children having a play area it is because their supervisor Lori Young stated to me on the phone that it was too much of an insurance liability to have any play area for our children but still yet they can have a sorry ass fitness center that hardly anyone uses and now its easy access for them to use as well. I say we stand up for our rights and our childrens rights and fight back because it is time to say enough is enough!!!!

Comments: shortly after moving in i attemted to get a satellite dish it was 2 inches over my balcony mgmt gave me a notice to comply or move out however unit 250 has obe well over the balcony for several months now nothing has been done. Unit 226 has a dog mgmy was well aware of this when moving in and unit 226 was told they could keep it. when conforonting mgmt regarding this they denying giving permission how ever several weeks later while talking with unit 226 they told me mgmt told them to keep the dog quiet and dont tell anyone else they have a dog. Speed limit signs are posted in the drive area how ever you can hardly see them due to them being obstructed by ford f150 pick up truck dumpster doors or plants etc. theres no safe areas to walk while going across the parking lot as i attempt to save my life against those thinking theyre racing towards the finish line at daytona motor speed way. they took a tennis court and turned it into a parking lot making santee villas look like its a complex from new jack city.

This is our right to fight back and we all need to come together and fight so if u are scared then that goes to show that u dont care what happens to u and ur children. If u dont do it for ur future then at least do it for theirs. BE STRONG AND FIGHT BACK

Comments: I truely have not figured out our managemnet. When taking a tour and signing the paperwork to move in i was assured by heather and christy that we are a safe and friendly neighborhood and all rules are strictly enforced. After living here for awhile i found all this to be misleading information as follows: supposely no dogs allowed i have seen 5 units with dogs and have heard at least 8 units with dogs barking. Pool gate is to be closed at all times however i have on may occassions in fact several times a week i have found the pool gate closest to the managers office proped open for hrs at a time. Parking your suppose to park in your assigned spot however theres a checy pick up that parks in the managers space after hrs every nite. the driver parks so bad that its right on the line in order for me to get in my vechicle my drivers door must make contact with their truck. Theres to be nothing over the balcony i guess unit 250 never got that information with their satelitte dish.
