Basically this petition has been started to try and get the laws in Texas changed so that 'SEX OFFENDERS' with reasonable charges such as Public Indecency and Statutory Rape do not have to be classified in the same category. Not all sex offenders are child molesters or rapists and should not have to register as a sex offender when they are not the real criminals.
 There needs to be a voice for some of these offenders that will reach out to the ears of those parents, and the people who have chose to destroy other people's lives because they didnt approve of what their child consented to, the lack of being able to control the actions of their child, lying about their age, or making false accusations about rape.
We feel that if one who has lied about being raped, and a person has been jailed for it, and then later proven innocent.. that they need to be punished for making false accusations.
There are aslo many cases in which a parent does not approve of the relationship. Whether the reason is based on race, religion, retaliation or age. This is where the wake up call needs to start, we would also like to name this new law 'The Trenton Law'. So lets pull our voices together and make a change. These are peoples Lives, its time they start living.
