We the fans of the NHL vow not to return to the NHL until Gary Bettman has been dismissed. Over the course of his term as commissioner he has routinely found ways to bastardize the game and has led the league into three work stoppages. We will not purchase tickets, attend games, purchase merchandise, or attend events sponsored by NHL teams. If and when the NHL returns from its most recent work stoppage, we will not watch NHL games on TV and we will definitely not fill the arenas to capacity. The intent is not to harm the owners, but motivate them to move towards the immediate dismissal to one of the biggest enemies of the game. Hopefully, the NHL returns, and when it does, hopefully, the lackluster merchandise sales and empty arenas will send a message to the owners that Gary Bettman must go. This latest lockout is just proof that Gary Bettman does not understand what makes the NHL what it is, the fans.
