Comments: please do not change anything at MLS. I have watched over the years the boundaries change from more to less, less to more. Do not change it.

Comments: We just purchased a home in the Meriwether HIll Subdivision this year specifically so our son would go to Meriwether Lewis (my alma mater) and would be devastated to find out we picked the wrong home.

Comments: I feel that no changes should be made to the boundaries of Meriwether Lewis Elementary in the current redistricting process. The costs of displacing 16 children, and the heartache that it will cause these families, exceeds the benefit (financial or otherwise) of redistricting any of the MLS students.

Comments: The wonderful school community around Meriwether Lewis Elementary is a perfect model of how public schools can excel. It is led by a strong and forward thinking administration, coupled with a talented and dedicated faculty and staff, who are eagerly assisted by a supportive parent organization. Each day our creative and curious children arrive and are immediately engaged to grow academically, physically and socially. The results have been and will continue to be phenomenal. This highly functioning school-based community would be the envy of most school administrators and school boards across the state. We should be looking for ways to share what works with others and to continue to serve as a model of excellence in education. I strongly support the idea of allowing this wonderful school to continue to grow and blossom in its present form. We should not be looking at maps to draw lines as a result of a mathematical formula. If indeed we need to solve issues with respect to facilities, I encourage the school board to charge this community with developing solutions. I have no doubt the collective will and talent of the Meriwether Lewis Elementary school community will rise to the occasion.

Comments: We also moved to this area in Ivy in order for our kids to be in the Meriweather Lewis school district. I strongly disagree with the consideration of changing the boundaries of MW Elementary School.
