The State of Oklahoma passed Senate Bill 1433 otherwise known as the "Personhood Bill," that states life begins at the time of conception. Whether you are pro-choice or pro-life, there are significant issues with this bill. First, it would make in vitro fertilization problematic due to the fact that frozen embryos would be considered "persons," and are to be treated as such Emergency contraceptive, which has no abortive qualities, would come under even fiercer attack. Whichever side of the aisle you find yourself on, there are problems with this bill. This bill is vague enough that, depending on one's interpretation, other methods of contraceptives are at risk. This is way more than an attack on a woman's right to choose; it's an attack on all reproductive rights, including preventative measures that help reduce the incidences of abortion.
