I am an army spouse and I want to find ways to better help spouses in the army dealing with domestic abuse. I know how hard it is to build your world around your spouses career and lose your career to better your family. But what happens when you do these things and realize maybe it was a mistake. Being an army spouse is hard enough but to see the one that you sworn to love, honor and obey. Through sickness and health, till death do us part. Mentally, Physically and Emotionally abuse you daily. To tell you if you leave me you will get nothing you will be homeless. To follow the rules of the army and report this abuse and because of his rank and his leadership role. They turn there back on you and do nothing. And to have the rest of the world look at him/her as a hero. To have your friends and neighbor's shun you away because you yourself know, that you can't take anymore. For you to realize that you now have became an army of ONE. Fighting for some type of income for you and your children. While you significant other is allowed to stay on army post for free and is backed by this army that protects him. It's like, you're in a tunnel yelling and no one seems to hear you. Well I do and I am trying to find better ways to change this, so please come join me. And let's make this more than an army of ONE..................
