Medicinal marijuana has shown promising effects for patients who are diagnosed with a variety of diseases. For these patients, the substance helps relieve pain, decrease the development and expansion of cancer cells, and is able to halt the process of blindness. As an elected official, it is Tom Wolf's duty to protect citizens of the state, and to ensure that every citizen have access to what they need to live healthy and safe. But, patients in the state are diagnosed with these illnesses which are life changing. A proven effective drug, to safely help patients defeat their diseases, is illegal because most people in the United States are lead to believe that medicinal marijuana is dangerous, and not beneficial. For us to protect our own health and safety, we must take action in attempting to legalize medicinal marijuana in the State of Pennsylvania. I ask ourselves to sign this petition to legalize the usage of medicinal marijuana for the patients who are diagnosed with these illnesses. This petition will then be sent to the mayor of Pennsylvania, Tom Wolf, to influence him that we the citizens of Pennsylvania want the legalization of Medicinal Marijuana in the state.
