Comments: Virginia is listed as A++ for its laws against bullying. So enforce those laws, in this case!!! Come on Loudoun County, and Mrs. K, do something about this. Jeremy was a wonderful, bright, engaging young man with so much to offer. A bright student we so much life in front of him and it was stolen. Stolen by a group of popular kids who think it’s funny to make others feel bad. It’s not going to stop until these kids are held accountable. Rests in peace Jeremy, may God hold you in the palm of his hand.

Comments: Jeremy, you weren't alone… I, too, have been a victim for the majority of my life. It really hurts. There are times when I cry myself endlessly to bed at night. Suicide was always the first thing on my mind. When I heard about this sudden tragedy, I just couldn’t believe what I was hearing.. I knew him... He was in my class. He wasn’t like other people. He had a heart. Unlike anyone else, he was that one kid who opened up to me when no one else would. I knew Jeremy, and he touched my heart. He’s a good person and I believe that people should learn more from him. He was one of the people who made me felt as if I was actually someone. Before, I had felt like an outsider, and I didn’t know anyone actually knew my name, but I found out that someone did… Jeremy did. I want to stop bullying as much as you do. I have been bullied up until my senior year this year. I know how it feels.

Comments: My heart goes out to the Tabones family. No parent should endure the loss of a child senselessly. Let’s put an end to bullying. Parents, let’s start at home by teaching ourselves to be better parents, by being role models to our children. Let us teach them to be kind and compassionate. I would like to share something that my father shared with me as a child. Children Learn What They Live By Dorothy Law Nolte, Ph.D. If children live with criticism, they learn to condemn. If children live with hostility, they learn to fight. If children live with fear, they learn to be apprehensive. If children live with pity, they learn to feel sorry for themselves. If children live with ridicule, they learn to feel shy. If children live with jealousy, they learn to feel envy. If children live with shame, they learn to feel guilty. If children live with encouragement, they learn confidence. If children live with tolerance, they learn patience. If children live with praise, they learn appreciation. If children live with acceptance, they learn to love. If children live with approval, they learn to like themselves. If children live with recognition, they learn it is good to have a goal. If children live with sharing, they learn generosity. If children live with honesty, they learn truthfulness. If children live with fairness, they learn justice. If children live with kindness and consideration, they learn respect. If children live with security, they learn to have faith in themselves and in those about them. If children live with friendliness, they learn the world is a nice place in which to live.

Comments: Was this a case of bullying or not? Some of the posts clearly say it was, another suggests Mrs. K said it was not? Can someone please explain what is actually known? Did Jeremy Tabones take his own life? Did he die in some sort of accident? Was he physically attacked? What did happen?

Comments: Jeremy and my son were childhood friends. Over the weekend my family and I were going through old pictures, and on Monday I sent a note to Jennifer along with several pictures of Jeremy and my son in their Cub Scout uniforms. The boys were in 1st grade and were best friends. My heart is so very heavy to learn of this tragedy. You know, we have a word for a wife who loses a husband--a widow; for a husband who loses a wife--a widower; even for a child who loses both parents--an orphan. But there is no word to describe the great sorrow felt by parents who lose a child! There are likewise no words to describe the pain Jeremy must have felt. God bless you Jennifer, Mito, and Jennilen. My deepest condolences. Jeremy--I lift you up in prayer!

Comments: You hear about the bullying problems in the media & you don't even realize how bad it's getting until it hits home like this. Something needs to be done. There's no way that teachers and administrators at this school have no idea about the bullying going on. This can't happen again. The Tabones family will be in my prayers.
