This petition is to try and get the the age in which you have to be to have a smear test reduced, there is no law saying that ladies under 25 can not get cervical cancer. In fact after running The Jade Goody Memorial Page for 4 years now i have read so many stories of young women under 25 having cervical cancer or at least being found to be cin3. Cin3 if left for too long can and will develop into cervical cancer and by the age for a smear test being 25 these young ladies are only being put at risk. Many of which are married with children by the time they reach 25, resulting in some sadly going undetected and leaving behind husband's and young children as well as their families. Young women that have gone to see their GP with symptoms are still being refused a smear test resulting in them having to pay over the odd's for something over 25's get on the NHS for free!
