This is a petition in relation to the proposed charges that the R.C.T Council plan to introduce on ALL sports teams using their parks from next season. Importantly, this will include charges to the many childrens teams that currently run within the R.C.T.

If the proposed charges are introduced, it will SPELL THE END of many of the sports clubs actively using the R.C.T pitches. Clubs will simply not be able to run following the introduction of the proposed charges.

This will have a massively detrimental impact on the society as a whole, and could have a serious impact on the steps our children choose to take going into their teenage years. What will they do when they can no longer actively take part in community sport? What health impacts will this have on adults and children alike? Is this the fairest way the R.C.T Council can try to bridge the budget gap?
